Joking aside this is bad news.
I'm not a social media user but this is going to have a stifling effect on everyday interaction as well.

Imagine having a conversation with a friend and bringing up an important point only to have them say..."oh, I heard about that but Facebook says it's not true ".

Luckily, most of my friends don't use Facebook either but any "non-approved" ideas are going to be further sidelined.

Unfortunately, it is not limited to FB. I have had friends and family place their faith and trust in unvetted information, spieled by talking heads, social media infuencers, propaganda laden videos, and deceptive media.

I don't try to convince anyone. I share my opinion, I listen to what they have to say. I accept their opinions, even if we don't agree, then I leave it at that.

I don't do FB, Twitter, Tik Tok, Instagram, and the like. I try to vet any information I run across, but I realize that it is all subject to conjecture.

Seems like they are desperate already by declaring Covid Vaccines information on the internet as disinformation or that they pose a Health Emergency.

I guess mentioning about Blood Clots and Heart Inflammation that could pose as a side effect would be bad right?

I am seeing that move locally. They allow the masks to be removed. Lured the majority of people into getting the vaccine, as a reward, now are trying to push the mask ordinances again.

It makes no logical sense what so ever. But they have convinced enough people to succumb to their insanity, that they don't even have to make sense. They are pushing a lot of buttons. I think they just want to see what they can get away with, and what they can set off.

I agree with you and also the Surgeon general in the yahoo article has no rights to censor any type of information. That would be a violation of freedom of speech whatever that information is either true or not that is not up to the government or supposed "Top Doctors" to decide.

If they are trying to censor that kind of information of which they are claiming that it is disinformation wouldn't they be proving those CTs by doing so?

What are they worried about so much?

I never had any of these social media accounts, for some reason when FB came out for the first time, everybody was all over it, the new fad, I always was excitant and never really created or joined them at all, no even twitter, when I get a bad feeling about something I am always right.

I feel the same about the china virus shot.

I just used fb as an example as it's the most commonly used.
It's surprising how few people read actual books, to me at least.
Some friends get their news from fb because they don't bother with newspapers (which are, admittedly getting worse) so their view of what's going on and how to think about it is getting severely curtailed and curated.

They know I read a lot so they give me credit when I talk about some things they're not aware of .
That's just my circle, though.
II can see these things having a serious effect in future for people and communication in general.

Funny you should mention that i just walking the other day or so. Quite a sunny day with some clouds as i was walking to get sometihng to buy.

I couldn't help it and noticed but i overheard a woman in her mid 40s talking to someone over the phone and she was basically very loud for some reaosn.

While i was walking towards the other side of the street and she was moving into the direction she begin to say the following to the person on the phone.
"We are all guinea pigs for those of us who took the shot yeah i hear you"

Not my words this is what the person the street was talking about.

Considering NOBODY, not even crackpots like Jeff Rense, have as robust and consistent a record of flat out lying to the American people as the US government possesses, it is hilarious that anyone would view the government as qualified or justified in holding the keys to deeming what is misinformation and what is not. In reality (and I think people from all political spectrums can agree that this is so) what is happening here is differentiation by the government between not misinformation and truth, but between approved speech and unapproved speech. Anyone sharing information the government doesn't want shared or which is inconvenient to the government's narrative, is viewed as sharing unapproved speech.

Hopefully, it might encourage a few people to stop using it.
Even people we don't agree with have a sense that they're being treated like fools.
Social media seems obsessed with control.
The more people understand that they are being limited to a narrower and narrower set of views the more likely they will look elsewhere for information.

The intelligent ones, that is.
