Lazy Sunday afternoon? Blood slowing down, feeling a bit lethargic?
Here is Woody Herman's ''Thundering Herd'' from the mid 1960s with a couple of old jazz great saxophonists playing Hallelujah Time
Herman came out of the early big band times in the 1930s with Goodman and Miller and Shaw and Ellington and Basie among all those others who
entertained our parents and grand parents and great grandparents. As the rest of those bands slowed down and went to playing their old songs, Herman
continued on with the evolution of the big band sound. He continued to push the envelope of big band orchestration well into the 1980s with an ever
evolving set of cats blowin their brains out....

Like Herman and Goodman, I played clarinet with with the sax as my side in high school and college jazz bands. This came out in 64 and blew us away.
