Once you start to understand this whole new (to me) aspect of investing, you see that the big players aren't the way to strike it rich at the moment. Value is down, and it's a good time to buy, but new coins are coming out at a very rapid pace, and finding the one or two great ones among all the clutter is the key to dumb luck success!

I bought into safemoon, that one will take a while to either turn into something or totally crap out. Bought some VET, and recently I've been looking for the next big score. The beauty of going after a super new coin is that you can invest a relatively small amount and either win big or loose that small amount.

Most of the obscure coins require buying a "stable coin" and trading that for the obscure one.
So please share any ideas you have on these, and if you know of the use/validity of the coin, that much better.

Crypto currency is like baseball cards..

The only ones worth collecting are the ones put out before the mainstream started collecting.

crypto market for me is not about investing but more a gambling game.
I used to play the lottery games a couple times a week and never won anything.
Now I buy unknown new coins, big amounts for little money, hold, and wish it a bright future! lol
I made a nice amount with Doge that way.
To decide what to buy I mainly listen to Twitter rumors from people who seem to know the game pretty well.

but however you want to play/invest, never put in what you can't afford to loose...rule nr 1

Besides that, I discovered NFT's not to long ago, so I put my digital art up there. The only reason why I now own Ethereum as well

Ethereum is down a good bit and likely a good buy, but more of a safe buy rather than a wild chance at hitting it big. (like your opening strategy) I treat it the same. Like the lottery but with a chance to at least get back my dollar sometimes. that's why I like to ask others, someone may have the next big tip, but you never know.

I don't know enough about crypto yet, but do you care to elaborate? That rumbling has definitely become louder and louder.

It may crash, or it may find itself in a new economy. That's why it's a risky investing practice.
Once you start to understand it's uses, it makes it easier to see why it may be used in the future.

Have no doubt it will be around in some form, a Fedcoin at the very least may attract new investors and likely bring crypto more into the mainstream. All the while potentially upsetting the current status quo.

or is that just a gross oversimplification to once the Fed gets involved in anything it screws everything up

I'm going to make this quote an NFT.

I'm going to call it "When folly met wisdom".

hahaha that is actually funny :p

What? You think over here I can go to my banker and ask for crypto advice?
Twitter is the best spot to learn about upcoming coins. Everything else you read on the Internet is taken from just that... and the big investors all have their own agenda and just try to pull an Elon and manipulate the market... most fail.

edit to add: there is more where that came from so you should make it an nft collection... and I want my share!

I have Twitter specifically for crypto, but mostly news. Crypto news pretty much has to be verified with original sources because they're all full of crap and you're correct that they pull an alarming number of stories from what I would consider dubious Twitter posters.

If you're not spending more than you can afford to lose you're fine using whatever source you like.

I'm well aware that everyone is only promoting what they have invested in themselves, but when the popularity of these individuals go up, so does the coin. For a very short time, and that is good pocket money.

I've talked to some of them and most say the same thing and that is that, unless you are in on a scam, no one can really predict what the market will do.

There are cryptos currently being used in millions of commercial transactions a day completely outside speculative markets. Not just as payment, but in supply chain management and financial instruments. The same mechanisms that allow for liquidity pools, staking, and farming, also translate to all other financial instruments. They can be used for loans, for derivatives, and anything else, all with digital verification and automated transactions. It reduces overhead and standardizes procedure, which helps eliminate human error.

Like anything else, including stocks, to really appreciate it you have to put the time in. If you stop at BTC and DOGE it will provide a very warped perception of what's going on.

Ergo one of the few new algorithms that actualy have original function

Unfortinitaly due to how early it is in the project your wallet is just a html page and not a acctual app Its also not going to be found on kraken

I run a couple minning rigs so that's how I get it when I fell like investing in possible upcoming coins

I also mine raven but thats for profit right now

As far as tossing money into crypto that's gambling buy a gpu and mine enjoy the fact a chip shortage means prices are going up

When eth 2.0 comes hold eth the old algorithm is not going to die it will fork just like last time and youll end up with a instant increase in value because all your coins will be on both algorithms

I could probly go on about this for hrs but to me it's like talking about my job iv been doing this for a 10 years

Top positions are Bitcoin (the O.G.) Ethereum (ETH), and Cardano (ADA). These aren't cultural baseball card coins like dogecoin, they have utility.

BTC for secure wealth storage/transfer, ETH and ADA for the new emerging smart contracts. While crypto is very obscure to an ape like me, even I can tell it's the future. It's going to be so much more than just money. It's just a matter of time. I recommend listening to Lex Fridmans podcast he has crypto founders on there it's just veeeery dry and technical and makes my head spin. Proof of stake, proof of work, sharding, different layers, different protocols.

I think ADA might blow up because it's currently less than $1.50. "Smart contracts" are supposed to go live by august. Maybe in line for a nice bump. Hopefully Elon tweets something positive about it lol. Ethereum 2 is also in the works slated for 2022/2023 might be worth it to hop on now. On Coinbase any ETH you buy will be converted to ETH 2 automatically I think.

Someone already mentioned NFTs (non fungible tokens). Also will be huge in the future.

This is horible advice hold your eth in real wallet you hold the key to otherwise when eth 2.0 comes the website you hold it on keeps all the eth 1.0 from the fork

Thats why they will automatically "convert" it aka steal it from you because it's not converted you own both

Look at eth and etc if you owned eth during the hard fork for every eth you own you also owned 1 etc and it's still worth around 60 a coin now peanuts compared to eth but thats 60$ per coin you won't have if you held on a website

Then put it in a cold storage wallet? I only have .5 of ETH coin. I'm not sure what you mean on Coinbase stealing it. Is that to say if I had .5 ETH when GTC came out id have .5 GTC too? We're you prefacing your own post as horrible advice?? I'm going to absolutely keep buying btc, eth and ada. Probably chain link, polka dot and algorand too.
