A while back I wrote a rant about lemon everything, and how I disliked the endless dishes made with lemon.

Well, truth be known, I actually LIKE lemon...in comparison to limes.

We live in Colorado, and there is a huge Mexican population here. For some reason, Mexican's don't like lemons...in anything! They like limes.

As much as I detest fancy dishes with lemon in them, I absolutely HATE dishes with lime in them. I simply cannot handle raw limes in anything; it messes with my teeth (the acid).

Limes are exponentially more acidic than lemons.

I'll take lemons any day over limes!!

What's the deal with limes with the Mexican and South American community????

Why don't they use lemons???

Lemon goes well with fish.
But putting lime on fish tacos seem to be the norm.
Also limeaid is so good, but expensive to make.

What is the name of that pie they make with lime. Can't think of the name of it. But lemon meringue pie is so good.

They do actualy most recpies just call for citrus its up to the cook to interpret

You will find lemon in there seafood mostly but also in other dishes it just depends on what's avalible and preferences

Most Americans want lime so you get the lime version

You've just inspired me again.
I like to start the day with lemon juice and hot water with a big spoonful of honey in it and it does make my teeth feel a bit dry.

I haven't got any limes but I've got bottled lime juice so I'm going to have to try that now and see how it compares.

Bit of variety to break the boredom.

I would rather use lemons than lime too. I do like Key lime pie though. Lemon lime Jello isn't bad either.

It may be because when I was in my late teens to early twenties I used to get drunk and have a major hangover after a breakup with a girl. It made it so that I did not even want to look at her anymore, I learned a lot from hangovers, they can be a good tool.

I no longer desire Tequila or lime, but still like salt for that reason. I was pretty hooked on that girl...have not had any tequila other than Tequila rose as a flavoring in homemade pancakes or homemade donuts since then. Just a dab of Tequila Rose....a quarter teaspoon in a batch of donuts....gives the fried donuts a really good taste. No hangover off of that.

I had to get married, all I can drink yet is seagrams and seven, if I were to get divorced, I could never drink anything other than beer.

I’m good with either, however not a fan of limeade. For me it depends on the application. Fish=lemon Mexican dishes=lime.

Lemons. Wonderful fruit. In tea, on fish, in a home made cough mix, as a sour drink, I cannot get enough.

Limes. Throw it at the people who prefer limes. Disgusting creation. In all forms. Limes are the poor version of the lemon society.

Now don't get me started on grapefruit. they are the GOD of all things citrus.
