Since bums need some kind of help

So? I just got off 2 months of EI myself living on the peanuts, I have cash savings so no big deal. I planned for a future in which my income my be limited or even none existent because I don’t expect the government to cover everything about my existence because they don’t. I am boring of the wrong colour and creed and location and time for that to happen.

Other people’s health isn’t my concern it starts by being proactive in their own lives. I don’t care about your health because ultimately only you can control it and take care of it or not. Even if I took the most extreme measures to help raise and protect your health through my own actions it would still be absolutely dwarfed by the benefits by being actively healthy, physically fit and of sound mind on your own accord.

Just like with the homeless it’s not about what we can do for them because nothing we do will ever measure up to what they could possible do for themselves.

Life has no guarantee not health not happiness not even freedom. You have to attain and keep each.

Look, life can be cruel. We all have to make choices.

The bottom line is that the chronically homeless have issues that go beyond food, affordable housing, jobs, economy, etc. The economy could be firing on all cylinders and everyone making $100k/yr but we'd still have homelessness because these people's issues are far deeper.

Simply giving someone who has 15 personalities money and food is not going to help them or keep them off the streets. The same for the guy so hooked on opioids, meth or whatever their drug of choice happens to be. The only way to get these people off the streets is to do so forcibly and trample on their rights.

I feel sorry for some of these people, but I also have a family that I am also responsible for as well. The homeless guy's personal demons are not my problem, nor does it excuse their own responsibility for wrecking havoc on my community.

We have PLENTY of services available for those who need it. The reality is that most people who can be helped are helped. The issue is that there is a small, but very visible group of homeless, who either choose to remain homeless or are in no condition to care for themselves. The only solution is to forcibly remove them from the streets.

Yes imagine if you get evicted because your are bankrupt due to medical bills from a car crash that was not your fault.

Some health problems are caused by accidents you can't control, like getting hit by a drunk driver or being the victim of a random mass shooting.

God bless the bleeding hearts as well as the very small percentage of homeless folks who are really working and trying to better themselves...let me tell you it ain't the majority.

Most are begging or scamming to get high (that's why they are homeless). Any money given will not help. That's why these tent cities and people's dwellings look like landfills. No self respect and that means none for anyone else either.

Before I'm labeled as cold hearted and want people to suffer...how many times have you been robbed (attempted) by a drug addict vagrant? How many times have you had your vehicle burgled? How many times you been lied to?

As Augustus said one time I was leaving a restaurant with leftovers in a to-go box, a gentleman asked for some money. I thought you know what? I just ate, I don't need these leftovers, here bro take this. To which he replied "I want to order my own food and pay for it myself" LMAO ok then good luck with that! Call me crazy if I was scrounging for my next meal I wouldn't feel the need for such nonsense.
