they hypocrisy I see has more to do with anything on the right is wrong. If it's the right complaining about ANY right leaning ideas being censored on the largest communication platforms on the planet, you defend the platforms (and rightly so) that they have the right to do that. You then condescendingly say the right should make their own platform. They try a few times and are cock blocked by big tech, you laugh. Then one starts to work as programed, and you pick on the part where they do the same things as Twitter. If a person wasn't paying attention, they might think you were biased. I'm just pointing out the appearance is all.

The thing is, I'm a furry myself. I've been part of the fandom for a good 15 years. I've watched the shift in the fandom, seen how heavily politicized it's become. The problem is that most of these social media types who "give impressions that the fandom is x" also happen to be the leaders and influencers in the fandom. The furry fandom is heavily centered around art and media. The furries who are very good artists and the furries who are prolific fursuiters tend to be the celebrities of the fandom and their opinions and believes are treated like the word of God and parroted by their thousands of followers and fans. So when you have a popular furry (Popufur, as they're called) come out and say "Oh, so 'n so supported Trump so they're a far right anti-LGBTQ racist Nazi" that's basically it for you in the fandom. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, your reputation is ruined. If you're an artist, you'll never get anymore commissions, everyone will abandon you for fear of being called out themselves. Furries, by and large, have moved away from traditional furry websites and use Twitter as their main platform now. I had to leave Twitter because my timeline was nothing but tweets and retweets about how evil Trump, Republicans and the right were and how you should off yourself if you support any of them. The fandom went from preaching lover and tolerance to being fueled by political hate. I'm not saying there aren't right wing furries or furries who are neutral on the issue or anti-politics (because there are, they're just usually labeled as far right hate groups or told they're cowards for not siding with the leftist believes). In a fandom where people dress up and roleplay as cute animals and draw some of the most extreme, weird, kinky porn anyone has ever seen with no shame, I shouldn't be afraid of people finding out that I like my country and don't agree with a lot of the extreme left's ideas, but I am.
