I recently signed up for a 7 day free trial on Shudder.
'Color Out of Space' gets an enthusiastic thumbs up.
I really can't come up with a movie that does the Lovecraftian style of horror better.
Nic Cage drives it home hard.
'3 From Hell.'
Just plain filthy Rob Zombie at his finest.
Make some popcorn and crack a beer. Enjoy.

I kinda forgot about '3 From Hell'

Wasn't in any hurry for it. I know I'll watch it eventually. Figured I'd wait until after re-watching 'House of 1000 Corpses' & 'The Devil's Rejects' again.

Now that you reminded me, I might do that sometime in the near future.

Color out of Space was indeed pretty cool. I was surprised by it.

Rob Zombie movies are sadly well beyond what I can handle. I'm ok with horror as a genre, hell, I love the Resident Evil movies, but huge amounts of gore makes me uneasy lol. I can't watch the Saw movies either.

The level of actual gore in '3 From Hell' is not over the top.
The level of casual violence is pretty much over the top.
It's hard not to like Odus.
He kinda reminds me of my brother.

I'm a big Lovecraft fan but I'm having a hard time thinking anything with Nick Cage will be good. I'd tell you I would be praying for Cthulhu to eat his soul but it's obvious he doesn't have one, otherwise he would have traded that thing in for some acting skill ages ago.

I beg to differ.
Nick lays it down in this one.
Give'er a chance.

I’ll seriously pass on a rob zombie film. No offense.

I just checked Netflix and it's not available for streaming but it is available as a DVD for those who still get them in the mail (like me).
Added to the list.

The last film i watched with Nic Cage was Mandy, felt like i was tripping by end of that movie.

He certainly knows how to pick the weird and wonderful acting roles.

Nic Cage is a gift.
Some will only appreciate him posthumously.

Sounds interesting. I'll take a chance on old Nic. He's going for an Oscar...
