With cowboy justice done as judiciously as the Covid lockdowns...bet it would only take two weeks to “straighten the hill.” Because as the crimes mount with less and less solving...if the crime isn’t wrapped up in a day, it won’t be at all without a lucky break.

And good people will not put up with that for long.

If they only took the threat of violent crime as serious as they took COVID, it would be a short fight. LE already knows who the BGs are, and many of them have had numerous run ins throughout the years. But it will never happen, there is no appetite from the big cities to do anything about violent crime, and instead pawn the problem off on catch phrases about gun control (criminals have no concept of this) or whether they are treated too harshly by the police (they just see this as weakness, and don't respect the one's saying it)

I always said if the police stop engaging criminals on the street we have to do it at our door. Like you said, good folks will never tolerate rampant crime for long. There will come a time when someone sparks off, messes with the wrong person, and it will be a shocking wakeup call to criminals. And I highly doubt their victims (citizens/police) will lift a finger or utter a word to do anything about it

Before all the anti-LE crap started, clearance rates for most misdemeanors were dismal and even some felonies like burglary loitered at 15% or less. But enough were solved to keep people happy, to use justice as a deterrent and make folks feel safe in their homes/cars. Take that away and I think we will see a totally different side of humanity that hasn't been seen in quite some time.

Not saying I relish a return to those days, the Wild West made it work but with our population and technology level, it would be a bad day. But what is the alternative?

It is disturbing to see that was by far the largest cause of death, and out of those only cases acquired in the line of duty are reported here. They used to warn us about driving safely, that was the big killer. Then it was smoking, and eating healthy, but now? Scary times

Maybe up north in Wy (my home), but not down here! What with all the redistricting and other political shenanigans, the liberals are slowly running all the conservatives out of the state. Plus, this place is a magnet for liberals from other states like CA and TX now too, not to mention the illegals from Mexico and, of all places, Somalia and Ethiopia.

No, Colorado has been all but lost to the wacko extremist and corrupt liberals anymore. They're like a disease, a pox, and there is no "vaccine" for that! Another great state bites the dust due to the extremist and terroristic liberal plague that is infecting the nation.

I drive truck for a living. So going thru scales often I'm constantly
inter acting with law enforcement going thru scales and such.
I'm never to much in a hurry not to talk for a few minutes. And
give you guys respect and a good laugh. Cause I always got some
thing funny to say. I'm very sorry for the way the world is going.

And I just made a comment on another thread in regards to
the struggles that cops have always had plaguing them. Now
being so magnified by all this. I often wonder about something.

Why don't we all thru you in law enforcement all of us
together. Throw these people in jail? Because right now all
we're doing is watching them do what we all know they're doing.
Tear the country apart and bring us all to socialism.

If just a bunch of citizens tried to pull it off. That would put you

this country. And I'm sure there are charges that could be

How does this end if law enforcement doesn't have the
power to enforce the law save the country arrest the

IF a group of citizens did come together and try do something
or anything? You guys would be forced to come against us.

maybe you should rethink that thought. Jan6th only showed the world of actual thinkers, that one side is so desperate to taint the right minded, that they are willing to create false narratives on a very large and public scale. Don't believe me, go see what was going on before and then what didn't happen after the storming of the Capital event.

As for people not respecting Law Enforcement, well maybe where you live, but here where I live pretty much every one respects them just like they respect anyone else in the community. A lot of my friends are in Law Enforcement and will often conjugate at my house after their shifts (my place is kind of a "Speak Easy" for the community and for Law Enforcement). I would say that I'm speaking from a place of bias, but I have neighborhood watch captains asking if they could hold meetings at my place so that people can meet with Police Officers, and not just people in my community, but people outside of my community. A lot more people respect the police here than don't. In fact I'm pretty sure that the only people around here that complain about the Law Enforcement are the few people left around here that like to... let's say skirt the law from time to time.

Law Enforcement is a valuable service in any community, and if you don't understand that, then go look at communities that don't have any Law Enforcement coverage and see how those communities act towards each other as well as people from outside of their communities.

Liberals wouldn't feel "Shaded" if they didn't cast light on themselves by acting in ways that are contrary to good communities. Nobody here is saying that liberals are bad, but the same people who hide behind that label of "Liberal" do act in socially harmful matters. I take it that you are a Liberal? I don’t have a problem denouncing violence in any shape, way or form regardless against who is committed… civilian, law enforcement or anyone. But for conservatives to think they have some sort of high moral ground after Jan 6 is the just plain laughable.

I just want to add in that that events in Denver and the event months ago in DC have nothing to do with each other. We should be concerned when any group of people get targeted for crime, but when it's people who everyday choose to do jobs that help out and protect society as a whole is the group that is targeted, then we all should be both angered and ashamed.
