I don't ever shoot fireworks off anymore, even in areas that appear to be safe. A few years ago a single bottle rocket landed in a row of large arborvitae, and within a few minutes it looked like Napalm went off. It was the catalyst for two houses, 3 cars, and two garages burning up, at a total loss.

I was standing 200 feet from the burning bushes and could still feel the heat. The fire-department said there's almost nothing they can do when the oils from coniferous trees catch fire, but mitigate some damages.

Fireworks are illegal in New Jersey Which hasnt stopped people from acquiring and setting them off

Last week someone set one off at 5AM woke up half the town

FD was dispatched to scene to check out what was thought to be explosion or transformer blowing up

Fireworks are legal in Pennsylvania so people travel there

Which has lead to cops staking out bridges over the Delaware to snag people coming back loaded up with fireworks
