I think it comes down to the old 'conspiracy nut' stigma and how it might come back to bite you in other areas of your life, like your workplace.
There are people on this site, I believe that will hound you outside of ATS, were they to know your real identity. Cancel culture is a thing.
Not overly cryptic, but perfectly understandable why most prefer anonymity on sites like ATS.
I say if you feel the need to say something, say it, no need for code, quips, riddles, puzzles, puns...but some threads need all that to remain interesting, I guess.
