Good news: in this day and age you can simply self identify as a young 'un! Congrats to being 30 (again)!

Dutch man, 69, starts legal fight to identify as 20 years younger

Oops, apparently we are not quite there yet after all:

Emile Ratelband, 69, told he cannot legally change his age

Dude is male and white though (that makes him very toxic). "They" should first have self identified as a woman (possibly of color). That would have given "them" a much better chance in "their" legal fight.

I'm fast approaching 56.
Body feels tired at times, still as passionate as I was at 17 years old.

I tend to ponder on what's important and try to ignore the irrelevant and things which I have no control over.

Can still party with the best of them - and do sometimes - it just takes me a tadge longer to get over it.

You'll be fine, embrace your 'maturity' but make sure you remember the important things that made you the person you are today and make sure you don't just surround yourself with people from your same age bracket, socio-economic background, interests and point of view.

I'd get the round in but alas....all the best and I'll raise one to you tonight.

Gardening is my thing now, i find it brings with it a modicum of tranquillity, plus homegrown Tomatoes, Peas, and Carrots are the dog's bollocks.

Add some spring onions and I'm there

A mate has an allotment with an apple tree overhanging.
He makes some awesome 7% cider.

Never take anyone or anything for granted, try to have a balanced diet, stay active, live more in the present, not in the past or future. Be a warrior when faced with challenges.

You know you're pushing the boat out when people start putting years young instead of years old on birthday cards.

Happy Birthday...50 Years Young!

My mother sent me a card like that once. Obviously I was meant to think 'years young not years old? That must mean I'm young!'

Bah.

I hate "years young", and will probably snap at the first person who uses it on me.
For one thing, it's irritatingly coy.
For another thing, it's the most obvious sure sign of old age, because only old people use it; "I'm five years old... I'm ten years old... I'm twenty-five years old.. I'm ninety-five years YOUNG, my dear."

I was about 42 when I got the 'years young' card. Off my mum.

So, not nearly old enough to justify that barb, but off my old mummy?

Double whammy.

Yes, my meaning, expressed clumsily, was "using it voluntarily is a sure sign".

Your body will grow old but try keeping your mind young.
I am 66 years old,but I don't feel that old except recently
with my hands.

When you turn fifty you are supposed to croak so you live a long time. Croaking means that maybe you should get drunk to loosen up a bit without feeling like a fool.

Blimey ricky, watch what you're saying. In the UK croaking means dying, so you don't want to croak early.
Cymru, take a seat on a nice sunny day (preferably with a nice view) and ask yourself how old do you feel in your head cos technically you're still the same as you were when you were 20. Look at the view of the world and it's the same world as when you were 20. Be positive you're as old as you think you want to be. Yes sometimes your body tells you otherwise, just do what you want to do and enjoy life and forget about age.

Congrats!!

At some point, for me, it become just “another lap around the sun”… the exact number is not that important. I did nothing special to note the day. I have no memory of what transpired so that is good (when you have a semi eidetic memory, not having a memory is a blessing!)

TEOT’s tip for the big five-oh: Enjoy your favorite morning drink; Enjoy your favorite evening drink; give up French fries!!

You eventually “grow out” of certain foods. Fries are good start because oil and salt is not good for so much of your body as you age. Just sayin’!!
