New doco coming to Showtime in August from JJ Abrams

UFO sightings have been with us for several decades, but in the last few years, talk of UFOs has increased, bolstered by the fact that people in power have been talking more openly about the phenomenon. In fact, this morning CNN reported that Members of the House Intelligence Committee received a classified briefing on UFOs.

And now J.J. Abrams wants in on this action. His Bad Robot productions is teaming with Showtime for a four-part docu-series that delves into the wild world of Unidentified Flying Objects. And you’ll never guess what it’s called! Okay, yes you will. It’s called UFO.

Color me interested. None of the "usual subjects" seem to be involved and simply putting his name on this lends credence to the production quality.
I truly hope they focus on the more recent events and sightings instead of the usual backstory/primer talking about Roswell for 30 minutes blah blah..

IMHO JJ has for years had the task of deliberately destroying the franchises that show a nicer future.

He has an agenda and a well paid one at that.

This series is likely just what the three letter agencies want.

It will be a crap fest.

It will probably beat out the Demi Lovato UFO series to be hosted for $ on the Peacock service.

I will not watch anything from him until I'm convinced he's not member of nambla.

If I believed in conspiracy theories, I would SWEAR he's being involved as part of an intentional disinformation / discouragement campaign, so that people will just get fed up with the "genre" and never pay attention to it ever again.
