At the extremes, both believe in ending the state. Marxists believe capitalism will fall apart and take the state with it. Free marketeers believe capitalism will be so successful that there will be no need for the state.
That's why there are so many former Marxists advising right wing politicians, it's why Steve Bannon has meetings with European Marxists.
Oh, and both are equally dogmatic and naive.
