Myanmar came up in another thread as one of our members spent a few years there. Even 10 years ago people were saying it was a great place for Expats even though mostly Muslim. To say the country has changed after the coup is and understatement.
The following video does show a few beatings and shootings of the public so you are warned if of the sensitive nature . Myanmar has one of the best surveillance states in S.E. Asia as they collect and monitor all phones and emails (sound familiar) even if the emails are deleted. Once a political power gains control and declares whomever an enemy of the state all I can say is with the technology of today, if you are are target "watch out and run away !"
youtu.be...
Thank you for that video Sky!
Maybe Myanmar is trying to catch up with CCP?
I highly recommend that every American watch this.
And ask why democrats and msm are ignoring.
Sometimes even providing verbal support for currently active mass murderers on large scale.
.....When the military – the Tatmadaw – took over, international flights were banned, Hutchinson points out, with few flights now using Yangon International Airport.
"But averaging five flights a night, up to three planes have been making trips to Kunming in southern China," she wrote.
"Two of the planes are painted with Myanmar Airways colours and the other is unmarked. All of them are leased from private firms, so they should be in good working order."
It's clear, Hutchinson added, from the fact the planes' transponders have been turned off, which is a violation of international aviation rules, and the flights not being registered online by Kunming Airport as arrivals, that "whoever has arranged these flights is going to great lengths to hide them"........

There are fears of a large scale civil war. Civilians are forming into armed groups.

With some of the military deserters fed up with the coup and crack down on the population it is only a matter of time before some type of organized resistance can be formed. No matter what though it does not look like it will be peaceful as to many have been tortured and disappeared.

Myanmar dictatorship is very bad as the population is disarmed and nothing but cannon fodder. I do not believe TPTB or anyone else will have such an easy time with the American population.

A number of explosions have been reported recently in Myanmar as the security forces struggle to contain opponents of the coup, despite a violent crackdown on dissent. According to activists, at least 870 people have been killed in that crackdown, though the military junta disputes those numbers.
The army has blamed the spate of attacks on “terrorists” who, it says, are linked to the deposed government.
