That sounds good but I may not be moving for a week, two weeks, or it may be as late as the end of July.

I can't handle them in here past Wednesday. I'm not built to have roommates. I was trying to help them because of the heat, they were both working, then afterward she lost her job, he got banged up. All this....in two weeks. It's only been two weeks. But I'm losing my marbles one by one.

Well…. It’s nice you’re trying to help someone who is
Down and out…I Hope you never lose that quality within you .The world needs kind people ….But , maybe next time you could help someone who is ready for help ,and would appreciate it. . ….(just my opinion )…. In the mean time , you need to tell them the move out date , and post it on the fridge in big letters . You need to tell them that your new lease does not allow roommates or sublease agreements … and then move out and shut off your utilities . You don’t need to be mean , just be clear .

Best response I guess, because it's true.

Your 2nd mistake was not making damn sure you set the guideline of "no booze, no drugs, and a time for lights out" or GTFO.

Your 1st mistake was having druggies and drunks live with you in the first place. What were you thinking?

Tell your landlord you are moving out on X date, tell your "roommates" that the lease is up and your are out of there on X date.

Done. If they ask where you are going, well, to a place they are not. Easy enough.

Some free life advice. Get negative people out of your life. You don't need to be drug down because that is what happens.

If you play in the dirt, you are going to get dirty..... words to live by.

Jesus helped the sinners and showed them the way. He never enabled them or condoned their behavior.

This.
This is how you get your point across.

I've been down and out. I've been on drugs. I've had alcohol probs. I managed to overcome with help from others. I thought I could pay it forward.

Hindsight though.

Screw that! Does this vagrant chick wear your pants too????

Tell her to get out, and STAY out!

Broken, twisted, bodies getting dragged out of flaming dumpster in the alley behind 7-11...doesn't hurt either, for a little extra emphasis.

I went so long with people helping me that I wanted to put the shoe on the other foot.

99% of the clothes I have, all the furniture and kitchen items, donated.

I was homeless 5 years ago. I'm not even going to get into that right now. I'm just grateful and thankful and I swore I'd never take anything for granted again and the first chance I could I'd help someone in need.

But yes yes yes it's true, you can't help those that won't help themselves. I get that now.

Just want to say thank you to all of you, I wasn't expecting more than a couple responses. I appreciate you all took the time to give me your versions of wisdom.

Every response has been great. Even the one by bitchbug.

All the more reason to run them off, and right NOW!

I'll bet, in your situation, there were rules, and if those rules were broken there were consequences, right?

You owe them NOTHING!

Well, stamp that bill as being PAID and move one. Unless I missed something you don't owe them a thing, and it is only yourself making you believe that you do. They are taking advantage of you now. Their screwing up their lives doesn't mean you have to sacrifice yours too, for their sake.

I'm hoping it does not escalate to that extreme.

I'm more mellow now that my skin is yellow from all the dyes and lies THEY put in my food.

Ten years ago when someone on ATS said the world was gonna end and Obama was the Antichrist and 3D aliens were gonna invade and Fukushima was gonna zig my zag and Yellowstone was gonna rain down ash and T. Boone Pickens was gonna make me thirsty handling these two would have been a breeze.

And here I am. Ten years later.

Still grateful.
Still thankful.
Still arguing with the voices within.

And it's a Monday.

Oops, now Tuesday.

I don't know how you are doing that stuff. When I first moved out I lived with my best friends, Hell we had been friends since 8th grade.

It was great at first we partied hard for a couple of years probably the best times of my life honestly, but then it gets old. I pretty much just moved out to another apartment in the complex, think I only saw them a few times after that. And those were my best friends, but there was no easy way but to just do it.

Yes the landlord would flip and want $175.00 per head.

And then evict me the following month. He's done that to previous neighbors.

And yes, I'm being irresponsible by letting them in. But I was thinking a week or two...then like I said, she lost income and he was injured.

Ugghhhh. I regret it. And I regret that I regret it. It's just too much.

Kick them out. I've kicked people out for less. I wrote a thread about it i think several years ago.

Kick them out, you think you're helping but you're enabling.
