So wait, this came on on the 27th of May

Cornerstone of China’s strategic deterrence against the US: more nuclear missiles and warheads
By Hu Xijin
Published: May 27, 2021 11:39 PM

www.globaltimes.cn...

Why are we just now hearing about this?

If China follows through. Well, it was nice knowin' ya'll. Catch you on the other side!

I told my housemate that and he laughed. He thinks we stand a chance against China. I reminded him there are over 4 BILLION people in China and around 350-360 million in the USA. And knowing that China expects the very best from it's people and the USA is giving diplomas for college graduates majoring in hula-hoop dancing .....well, it won't be pretty.

Also remember, China has hacked our last few elections, is extremely involved in propaganda in this country and owns many of the corporations and businesses and controls Hollywood. They are also our biggest importer and 3rd largest we import to. Personally, they don't need nukes but hey, I guess that's their call.

Because ccp just decided to publish an even more threatening version in a ccp owned paper.

And you severely underestimate our abilities.

CCP knows this, and feelz backed into a corner.

You have heard about cornered animals before, right?

The resultant radiation cloud would pass over Japan with devastating results and then meander its way to California. This does not seem very smart.

Keep the Nukes out of it.

Besides, if China did start it, I think Russia would take it out. The one who first launches gets all of the replies from everyone who has Nukes.

No win, but a severe reduction in the number of Chinese.

P

Except Russia closed all its bases in Mongolia where they and China were about to go to war and now have a military pact with China if either is attacked.

Don't get me wrong, I love this country, and have nothing but respect and honor of our men and women in the military and all those who have served. I'm just looking at numbers and which country has the most cray-cray to carry out dirty deeds. And of course I hope I'm wrong. I don't have THAT much prepped supplies, lol. Quite frankly, China threatening nuclear warfare....it's just so over the top, it makes me a little nervous.

Should make everyone on the planet a lot more than nervous.

Technology, Training & intelligence matter a lot more than troop numbers.

CCP knows this, but are cornered by own deeds.

Yeah the russians had a pact with Germany too and had plans to break it when they got a chance to get what they wanted but the germans did it first.

OK. subtract the non military chinese from that number. then subtract the old, infirm,or female. That cuts the number to rround to 2.2 bilion. now how to move so many troops without arousing suspicion, and avoiding attack from surrounding countries who want to make sure they dont get radiation? Its not really practicle for china to war with us.

Don't know how many people in this thread lived through any of The Cold War years but what we have now pails into insignificance when compared to that.

M.A.D. is at least as relevant today as it was back then.

If a nuclear exchange is to occur it won't be one of the major countries that initiates it it'll be started by a 'rogue' nation or organisation.
Could still have the same outcome though!

I'm not exactly a great fan of the CCP but I have to say there's a lot of Chinese paranoia creeping in here....bit like the general 'Red's under the bed' fear that so many seem obsessed with.

Some people just want to see enemies everywhere.

China owns about $1.1 trillion dollhairs in U.S debt.

Talk about biting the hand that feeds them.

It would be like your mortgage company threatening to burn down your house coz you tell them you dont like them.

If nukes are ever used in anger again my bet is that its Pakistan and India who are the main contenders to start chucking atomics about over the Khyber pass.

I think your analogy pretty much sums it up.

Pakistan/India.
Saudi Arabia/Iran.
Israel/Arab world.

All potential flashpoints and all religion based and not ideological.

And then there's the potential for extremist organisations forcing confrontation and conflict.

For some of these people M.A.D. is irrelevant or even desirable.

You do realize the CCP just released a bioweapon on the world
don't you? Don't tell me you're denying that to?

No, i don't realise that at all.

And you have no proof that's the case nether, at least intensonally.

Else i take it you are working along the premise that China would be so silly as to release a bioweapon in the own back yard, and in a city also known to have biological labs in place?

Trump let COVID in to your nation with his stumbling mumbling half arsed attempt to restrict access from other infected places around the globe.

Same to similar mess over here down to Boris feeble strategies to retard the pathogens spread.

There is a lot of evidence of man made with accidental release.

And absolute proof that ccp intentionally allowed global spread.

That is a war crime.

On a massive scale.

China invests heavily in U.S. Treasury bonds to keep its export prices lower. So they dont care about the US economy they care that the yaun stays lower than the us dollar.

That effort that dems went bat sheet crazy over?

Calling xenophobe?

Threatening additional impeachment?

Disabling thermal scanners at international airports?

Yes, we remember that effort.

Still doesn't excuse ccp war crimes of creating, releasing, spreading, and then covering up biowarfare agent.

They jury is still out on that one Nunyabizisit.

But its worth at least entertaining the possibility.

Any idea the kind of crap both our respective nations have been involved with releasing or testing on there own troops and people in the past?

Was the use of Agent Orange a war crime, what about Napalm or Willy Peter?

How about the BP spill of oil off the coast, considering the damage it done, was that a war crime?

If China turns out to be responsible for unleashing COVID 19 down to a mistake they will hardly be the first nation to have played that game.

And at the end of the day actual proof might be nice else its simply pointing fingers.

China isn't looking to win a "nuclear" war, in fact it's banking on a war being fought with conventional weapons. It's basing it's strategy around an enemy coming to it, rather than it fighting an overseas war.

The fact of the matter is that China has no real desire to invade anybody or to attack anybody. It's part of the national psyche for China to think of itself as a victim rather than an aggressor. So all of it's preparations are based around defending the air and sea around it's coastline. This is why it's invested heavily in doing things like mapping the ocean floor around China. So that it can give its submarines a home team advantage in order to deter enemy aircraft carrier from getting to close to China.

If doesn't have the blue water fleet needed to invade another country, or the aircraft carriers needed to support a blue water fleet. But it does have area denial capabilities based around its home ports.

Wrong.

We have absolute proof of intentional global spread.

Challenging me on this may lead to embarrassment, but feel free if you must.

Evidence on other 'charges' is ALMOST overwhelming at this point.

Has rarely been a more clear case of bio warfare war crime in history.

And certainly never anywhere near this scale.

Whiter or not they went "bat sheet crazy over" whatever, the buck stops with your POTUS of the time, and that was Trump.

When you are in charge, you take the derry, that just how the cookie crumbles.

As to you alleged CCP crime, yes your right we would never attempt to do that or cover it up. LoL

Again real actual proof would be the ticket at the end of the day.

Where is that now?
