Mandatory fun. Woot.

I guess I'm VNotch, former combat meteorologist, USAF. I've been an observer and forecaster for 19 years. I have lived in a dozen different countries, I lost count of how many states, and I like to travel on top of that. I have studied (in an academic setting) nuclear surety, information assurance (with Perry), professional aeronautics, atmospheric science, heliophysics, imagery analysis, geography, geology... and all that good fun stuff in college (CCAF, ERAU, Stanford) and in the military through CDCs and CBTs and unfortunate OJT. I volunteer with an international disaster response organization that partners veterans and first responders, and I belong to several professional organizations that relate to my field of work and study. I have provided technical support for a lot of alphabet soup agencies in the course of my career, but nothing fancy. Just tailored classified weather/intel support, and START work. I like to think I excel at open source intelligence gathering and have lurked on ATS for a long time.

With your background I am sure you can put out some interesting threads, and give great insight in just as many.

Have fun

Welcome, nice to meet you! I too have lurked on here for roughly a decade but finally signed up as well as my ancient computer somehow finally managed to let me sign up haha! Research and peeling back the layers of deflection seem rather key to most members on here which is refreshing.

There are a few NPC's here but I digress that such is the case wherever and it's nice having a format for friendly debates as well as the amalgamation of opinions and information being a factor, even if such opinions do not correlate with your own beliefs.

I have yet to do any introduction of my own to be frank but I guess I just feel leery to publicize my personal life I guess, maybe one of these days haha!

Nice to meet you though and I hope you have as much fun on here as I am.

Greetings VNotch. I too have lurked for many years on ATS and have recently decided to disengage lurk mode. I first started coming here shortly after 09/11/01 seeking information and have lurked regulalry ever since.

You sound like a fascinating individual who has lived an interesting life. I'll be looking forward to seeing you around and hope you will post some cool original content for your fellow truth seekers.

Cheers. I hope you have a great day.
