Paul K Martin said hackers took over Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) computers and "compromised the accounts of the most privileged JPL users".

No one sold the information to China they stole it in the numerous cyber attacks they have launched against NASA , in one attack a few years ago (2012 I think) China gained full access to NASA computer systems.
