This per Chris Mellon on Twitter who linked the article

it’s now been confirmed that the establishment behemoth of journalistic integrity and clout, “60 Minutes,” is going to do a full report on the issue of UFO/UAP reality on Sunday, May 16th

Not sure how I feel about the following,

Breaking the story and date for Newsweek, politicial reporter Adrian Carrasquillo says one of the key interviews will be Senator Marco Rubio. The former presidential candidate gave Carrasquillo this juicy quote to go along with his scoop —
“Dozens of men and women we have entrusted with the defense of our country are telling us about encounters with unidentified aircraft with capabilities we do not fully understand. We cannot allow the stigma of UFOs to keep us from seriously investigating these encounters.”

LMAO
If he really thinks that?
I have no respect for him.

As far as them doing a show about this? Of course they are. Hot topic right now, and paving the way for whatever is coming.
Truth? Who knows.

I'm glad 60 Minutes will finally be explaining the recent UFO hubbub to old people. Not that they'll care a whole lot, because UFOs have basically nothing to do with how most people live their lives. But it will be entertaining for the curious elderly.

Heres my take on this..

Since it obviously has the Christopher Mellon stamp of approval this will be GREAT for the normies. The Marco Rubio interview should be nice, because it's very clear that he takes this topic extremely seriously, so I don't doubt he will do it justice. Hopefully Elizondo gets some air time too.

I just don't want to get my hopes up that it's anything more than a summary of everything that's gone down in the last few weeks (some of which I'm surprised hasn't been posted to ATS yet).

I think like most things, there's 2 government factions at play here (and they aren't politically aligned at all).

I think theres a group of people that know alot, but that don't know everything (Christopher Mellon, Harry Reid, the current AATIP crew, current heads of DoD and other 3 letter agencies).

Then there another group of people, that actually know alot more. People that are in and have Access to the SAP's that have been going on and being funded for decades. A group of people, where one or 2 of the first group I talked about know exist, and may even know a namemor.2, but that's it.

Then there's people like Lou Elizondo who is in that grey area in between.

GREAT! Finally, the aliens are coming to save us from ourselves!

Or round us to use as lab rats and a protein source.

Who knows which one it'll be.

Well, either way I guess it's all good! YAY!

No , no it will not be entertaining.

A proteïne source ?
Overpopulation is the biggest most nasty problem of this century and well..
It would be the aliens solving our problems at one fell swoop changing the world and keeping us from killing each other.
Maybey that's why everybody is indoors overeating... Getting fat on the 'rona lockdown.
Like the turkey we keep for Christmas.

I bet they gonna start the show with putting on some x-files theme music and then a slow zoom in, with a "I believe" poster in the background, gather around the most crazy persons and let them tell them about that time they was taken to Venus and learn to talk a alien language... and mix in some funny animations about some UFO´s and cows getting beamed up.

I personally can’t wait to see 60 minutes try to tackle this,
My guess is it will be 60 minutes of 20 year old info intermixed with every ufo cliche you could possibly imagine

We're all protein sources for some critter eventually. It's just whether it's going to be sooner or later. I suppose I would like to live to a ripe old age, but someday I will die and return to the Great Carbon Cycle as intended. If it was aliens, at least it would be an interesting change of pace.

Although the worst would probably be if the aliens zoomed in, became parasites in our brains and made us immortal to suffer for thousands of years. Let's hope that doesn't happen. BUT IT COULD!

There are certainly a nasty cadre of UFO "experts" making the rounds who definitely seem more like playing the long con rather than simply presenting solid information or proof. I guess nobody wants to be famous in the history of the freaking world for being the person who confirmed the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life. No takers.

"Oh, the CIA / FBI will kill them and their families." No, no they won't.

What ever is brought up during this 60 minutes thing, I can almost assure you that the ATS Membership has heard/seen/discussed/debated/debunked and all other matters of interaction regarding UFO's.

We have a tendency to forget that we (ATS) have been fortunate enough to have a herd-mentality of some very intelligent and forward-thinking people discussing these topics for years. So regardless of how this information on 60 minutes is presented, we will most likely say "Meh... heard/read that on ATS years back" and it will appear as nothing new (to us). But for the World, it may be very earth-shaking.

We (ATS) have always been ahead of the times with a more than a skewed version of normal, paranormal and reality (as we know it). But, I'll wait and see. I do know that there are still quite a few reports and footage that have yet to released into the public. And I bet we might even see another Military release of something of sorts

I still want to say "we live in interesting times"...
Johnny

There are no takers , as there is nothing to take.

This unprecedented primetime mainstream push--following even more unprecedented-finally-taking-it-seriously MSM hoopla in the last two years--can only mean one thing: Propaganda incoming.

Interesting to note that this building media blitz seems to have the blessing of the M.I.C. or Elizondo & them other IC hucksters would lose their clearances. Which they haven't. Ponder that for a moment unless you already have.

Hey, I believe we do experience anomalous events that strongly suggest non-human intelligence...but I also believe that, on this one, Uncle Sam is playing us for some murky purpose that has social-engineering written all over it.

So hopefully a 'full report' means that's the only topic that will be covered during that hour.

I can't think of anything specific, but in the past I've tuned in to watch something on 60 Minutes only to find out out it was just 1 of 3 topics, which minus commercials ends up being about 15 minutes or less. It's rather annoying.

or maybe full and final disclosure? it would make sense that we'd be seeing a swift ramping up of MSM interest in and promotion of the subject, if it was intended to 'soften the blow' as it were.

probably wishful thinking on my part. but the level of normally uninterested media interest in the subject (without ridicule!) is promising.

Indeed that's possible, RoSco. And I would love to be wrong. Here's my post tic-tac motto though: Don't stop believin', but be careful what you believe. Especially coming from our good Uncle.

Btw: Have you noticed that the current batch of Disclosure folk (TTSA, Mellon, Elizondo, et al) seem to be suggesting an answer that's sounds like the IDH rather than the ETH?
