I have binge-watched the entire series. I'm starting season 5 right now.

It is exhausting. I'm an emotional wreck. I've gotten so invested in the characters, the writing is off the f#cking chain, and the special effects will bitch-slap the taste out of your mouth.

No spoilers, just start at season 1 and plan on not watching anything else for the next 2 to 3 weeks.

If I remember right, there are 8 books out right now. I just couldn't get into the show it was missing so much.

Red rising is another awesome series of books to check out if you like the expanse.

In all seriousness it's probably the best sci-fi show I've watched in recent memory. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love the series.
