Everybody here knows about him. But this is not about what he said and you may wonder why I made a thread about him in this forum.

Take a look at the photo/capture. I'm not an expert but I see on the right side a leopard hanging on the wall, near the spears. Also, on the left is a bookshelf and 2 objects that look like animal horns, but those could be cow horns.

For me, it's bad even if he didn't kill it or if it's fake. It's about what that represents. I'm sorry, I was starting to like this guy.

No idea who this guy is, but who cares? He likely had a license to hunt it.....thats how it works. You keep the skin, tribes get the meat and a old cat gets put down more humanely than getting eaten by predators.

If he is a pastor, maybe those things were given to him while in Africa doing missionary work?

Like him or not for having items in his home doesn't negate him standing up against a fascist government.

I'm ok with hunting if you eat the animal. Like fishing. Maybe if it will attack you too. I see no other reason.

Yes, that's why I started the thread saying : "...But this is not about what he said ..."

Yea, separate things to me too. He could have inherited them too. My grandpa travelled worldwide for work and collected some stuff like this from different places. It was different times back then. Bad choice to expose them in video though.

No, big cat meat isn't typically eaten.
However villager meat is occasionally eaten by big cats.

Maybe he was lost in the jungle with nothing but those spears. It was night time a pair of glowing eyes stared back at him through the trees and with only a split second to react as it leaped towards him brought his spear up and took the leopard just as it landed on him. Maybe he kept the skin as a reminder of the fragility of life and how in an instant it can come down to you or them and everytime he sees it he's reminded to be thankful for life because it could have been him in that leopard's belly.

Who knows, Maybe the leopard attacked his heard of cattle and he got the horns chalices from his lost livestock after he used every other part of the animal for survival

It isn't typically. But in general the typical only way to get a kill like that there is a huge fee and it is an older animal that would have been torn apart by others soon. There are actually a lot of regulations around it and if you are poaching, you typically get killed by the local authorities.....they don't mess around.

No fat, tastes like ass, and is only enjoyed in sausages mixed with bear fat from the people I know that have taken one out here in the PNW.

I would only shoot one, if it started hunting me after tracking the same blacktail, or Elk.

So far so good

Anyone worshipping any politician, needs their head examined.

As for the skin and horns, one can assume he is at least ok with it..can't determine much else.

Conversely, this makes me like the man even more. The world needs more smart animal managers and less emotion driven "save the poor overpopulated helpless critter" whiners, IMO.

Meat that is eaten in Africa, however, is often killed and eaten by big cats and... sometimes... the human who was intending to eat that meat is killed and eaten by the big cat as well.

In biomes where man isn't the apex predator, man directly competes with the apex predators and it is in man's best interest to keep the number of non-human (and sometimes even human) competing predators as low as possible.

We are overpopulated too and nobody hang us on a wall.

I see all sort of animals when I go to the forest, they are my friends. I don't kill my friends. That wall made me sad and it hurts my soul deeply.

A pastor, as a man of God, should ask Him if that is right.

Dude, the Bible literally is full of stories of blessed men killing lions, hunting lions, and God bequeathing that right over all beats directly to mankind.

So nobody knows how he got or the reason behind just whoa is me the poor cat.

If he hunted it legally that input a large amount of cash into a typically poor community helping the people, as mentioned they are typically known critters on the tail end of life.

Also as noted could have been a gift because of missionary work, since many cultures consider a predator pelt a sign of status, maybe he helped them out in a major way and it was a gift. (if I was to guess because of the weapons it was a gift)

either way people should watch jumping to conclusions without the majority of the facts.

1 Samuel 17:34-36
But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him. Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

This pastor seems to be living according to the Good Word.
