First up, I am lazy
Let me introduce you to how to write a thread
Open with your main idea, basics, then
Explain your story, theory, beliefs with as much information/detail as you find necessary to justifiy what you consider necessary
And then
Finalise your explanation with a simple summary of your main points
Done
That way, simple and lazy people like me won’t have to read everything, we can just read your intro and wrap up, consider your opinion and then comment
Finding it a bit hard to follow many OPs at the moment with so much detail that is meandering along
Yes, I am lazy

Also applies to thread titles should it not????.........see above thread title.

Suggestion - structure is important.

Just my opinion, but this OP here↑ was not exactly clear, simple, and easy to read.

I see what you're doing, OP. You want to explain to people how to not create a "crap post," so you create a crap post to illustrate what a crap post looks like.

I mean, empty lines between paragraphs make for neat, clear, easy to follow text. Physical formatting is as important as content.

Don't be lazy.

I don't think it's as much laziness as it is information overload. We are fast becoming a twitter society where everything is broken up into small bite-size chunks so we can quickly ingest it and move on.

As a people, we are quickly losing our ability to concentrate and focus because there's too much info and not enough time. We have become apathetic and unable to apply ourselves unless we are put in a position of necessity.

OP's and ensuing posts are often skimmed to save time. We are trying to get to the crux, but we end up walking over dollars to find dimes. I frequently catch myself skimming and make myself go back and re-read in full. Sometimes I am surprised at what I missed.

The bunny ran down the road,
But you see where the road goes?
Some roads are good roads when others are bad
I can see the weather from my radar.
Radar was a host on a hit gameshow called Mash
He kind of looked like a bunny in a weird mashy kind of way.
It's raining outside.

Thanks OP....your advice worked perfectly!

This isn't essay writing 101. This is the internet on a conspiracy site.
Sometimes thoughts are spilled out. I have found some of the most interesting post are the ones that are the least
proper.

Right. I almost commented on that but figured my rant was sufficient as it stands.

No, we don't all have PhDs, but nobody is asking for doctorate level dissertations. And, yes, thoughts do spill out someone, but coherence and clarity are key to communication.

It just takes a little effort, and sometimes some editing.

Yes, posters have a responsibility to communicate clearly, but readers and commenters have a responsibility to read the whole of the post so that they don't misconstrue something. It's a symbiotic relationship.

Don't be lazy

I have tried to keep my posts at one paragraph. Evidently I like to talk too much...or should I say type too much.

Absolutely agree, 100%
Though, often the posts meander, are overfilled and lose their meaning, not often but sometimes
Guess clear introduction then final conclusion, make my mind up from there if I want to go into reading the whole post, if it’s an extended topic
Most people are pretty lazy, just thought it might help those with a good thread place a hook to get those interested to interested

I am glad you understood that, it was my point

As Klass stated very well
“I don't think it's as much laziness as it is information overload. We are fast becoming a twitter society where everything is broken up into small bite-size chunks so we can quickly ingest it and move on.”

Intro and finally a conclusion if a person intends to post a long post
If they want to get their message out
