I'm really starting to wonder just how much "color" one needs to qualify as a person of color, because even if a guy like me (English/Irish/Scottish) spends 2-3 days out in the sun I'd be at least 2 shades darker than she is.

I had a tan once and had to go hospital and for race they wrote “Middle Eastern”

Weird since i was born in Northern England. Not much “colour” needed it seems.

I used to consider using it for job applications to get in as a diversity hire

From now on, in summertime I will identify myself as a "person of seasonal color".

I have just been sent a template of the introduction statement that will be read prior to any briefing that happens at the CIA from now on.


Scary stuff.

Working at a college so.. it's like that all day, every day.
Just get on with it instead of wallowing and making everything a personal 'story' .
