Sorry to hear that mate but can't say I blame you - if you ever reconsider then NUFORC is a popular place to submit pilot reports and there's some pretty fascinating close range testimony found in their audio archive below.

In this remarkable collection you won't find gaggles of stuffy scientists postulating what UFOs are or are not. Instead, refreshingly, here are folks from every walk of life reporting their UFO experiences in disturbing detail, sometimes right after they occur, and sometimes as they happen in real-time-witnesses in denial or scared out of their wits, or people who simply seek an explanation following the most bizarre event their lives will ever know.

The depth of military and government agency involvement or cooperation evidenced in these telephone recordings, it must be noted, simply astounds.

Robert Gribble's Audio UFO Collection.

There's a good example found here where a pilot describes a very strange triangular object which flew near his aircraft.

Yes, this situation represents yet another conspiracy of silence, with many participating for decades. The American people are treated like mushrooms--kept in the dark and covered with manure.

FAA stance on UFO’s……….notice Section 8 …..a term for crazies 🤪 in the military!

In a NUTS-hell Definition of Section 8 …. Section 8 was a category of discharge from the United States military, used for a service member judged mentally unfit for service. Section 8 was also often given to cross-dressers, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

Very good catch there mate - I'm sure the stigma associated with 'Section 8' put a lot of pilots off reporting their experiences.

Graeme Rendall discusses his archival research below on global Foo Fighter pilot sightings from the early 1940's and turns out the same mindset was prevalent even back then.

Yes couldn't agree more mate and the behind the scenes antics of the Pentagon's DIA do seem to keep popping up.

Yet, heading back to what the government says, and this statement does come straight from the Pentagon, "no government agency has taken an interest in investigating [UFOs] since the closure of Blue Book in 1969."

Something does not line up, because here we are, faced with hundreds of documents slamming right through that 1969 cut off date, and going right into being in just the last few years.

NASA Aerodynamicist Paul Hill also conducted some great research but was apparently too afraid to publish it 'because the main agency he was fearful of was the DIA'.

Cheers.

Ah yes don't think I'll be reading that one mate but when it comes to 'unidentified flying objects' then apparently (and allegedly) Vandenberg kickstarted the government's denial of the subject by burning Project Sign's 'Estimate of the Situation'.

It finally ended up on the desk of Air Force Chief of Staff General Hoyt Vandenberg. General Vandenberg was decidedly unimpressed with the report, believing that it lacked proof. The "Estimate" was rejected and subsequently ordered to be declassified and burned.

At least two witnesses, Captain Edward Ruppelt and Major Dewey Fournet, attested to the fact that at least one copy of the document survived into 1952.

UFOs: GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT, SECRECY, AND DOCUMENTS - Barry Greenwood

Regarding the part about German scientists and German UFO reports then Wernher von Braun's mentor (and father of modern rocketry) Professor Hermann Oberth did take a very keen interest and studied information 'supplied by his own and other governments'.

"The appearances are usually described as disks, sometimes as balls or ellipsoids. It sometimes happens that these disks place one upon the other, the largest in the center, the smaller toward the ends, to form an object the shape of a cigar, which then flies away with high speed. Sometimes one already saw such a cigar (UFO) stopping and untie into separate disks. The disks always fly in a manner as if the drive is acting perpendicular to the plane of the disk; when they are suspended over a certain terrain they keep horizontal; when they want to fly very quick, they tilt (tip) and fly with the plane directed forward. In sunlight, which is brighter than their own gleaming, they appear glittering like metal. They are dark orange and cherry red at night, if there is not much power necessary for the particular movement, for instance, when they are suspended calm. Then, they also do not shine very much. If more driving power is necessary, the shining increases (brightens) and they appear yellow, yellow-green, green like a copper flame and in a state of highest speed or acceleration extremely white. Sometimes they suddenly blink or extinguish.Their speed is sometimes very high, 19 km/sec has been measured with wireless measuring instruments (radar). Accelerations are so high that no man could stand it; he would be pressed to the wall and bruised. The accuracy of such measurements has not been doubted. If there would be only 3 or 4 measurements, I would not rely upon them and would wait for further measurements, but there is existing more than 50 such measurements; the wireless sets (radar) of the American Air Force and Navy, which are used in all fighters, cannot be so inaccurate that the information obtained with them can be doubted completely".

No worries amigo and that's a funny pic.

Thought there was a good interview with Project1947's site creator here and he also coauthored this book which is one of the best I've read on the subject.

The story, which is unmasked by the governments’ own documents, explains much that is new, or at least not commonly known, about the seriousness with which the military and intelligence communities approached the UFO problem internally.

... then Wernher von Braun's mentor (and father of modern rocketry) Professor Hermann Oberth...

No. According to NASA web page:

Hermann Oberth died in Nuremburg, West Germany, on Dec. 29, 1989, at the age of 95. Although the Russian Tsiolkovsky and the American Goddard conducted similar research and arrived at similar conclusions, there is no evidence that each knew details of the other's work. Therefore, all three of these scientists share the title of Father of Rocketry.

Anyway, Mr. Oberth was making his statements in a time in which little was known about a lot of physical processes and effects that, would he had today's knowledge about them, would certainly have made him rethink the entire issue. One of them is the tiring and boring statement about acceleration being such that could kill a human pilot, as if the pilots have to be humans... or as if they humans are stupid enough to not be able to simply detach the pilot from the airframe.

Mr. Oberth's statements would match today's statements were he to experience the sighting of a modern drone, and those statements will be your own ones... were you to witness tomorrow's drones. It is the fact that a future craft appears in your skies what makes you think they are otherwordly, when the real issue is they are from another time.

The wonder is not those crafts' capabilities. The wonder is whether is it possible to fly an F-35 over the skies of, say, Mesopotamia under the Assyrian rule. The question is always when. Not how.

Relevant letter sent to Major Donald Keyhoe to President Harry Truman regarding the legal regulations (AFR 200-2 and JANAP 146) that 'officially invokes espionage laws in relation to both military and civilian pilots reporting UFOs'.

3rd February 1959:

"One of our aims is to expose frauds; another is to convince the press and public that this is a serious problem despite the ridicule...caused by the official debunking policy, which is now used to obscure the concerned and intensive investigation of Air Force and other agencies," or "There is a mass of evidence supporting our claims as to UFO reality and official censorship.."

An interesting UAP story from that KLM pilot, Karl.

That possibly shows that when the UAP/UFO wants to maneuver in a high speed mode during nighttime in our atmosphere...it will perform visibly as a "bright blue light". So I'm speculating that the UAP reported by the KLM pilot is operating in at least one of it's high power modes --- Possibly meaning that the blue (plasma???) light is being a source of some kind of power function or fuel, along with the blue light being contained by a magnetic field of some sort.

Always interesting to speculate Erno and do remember the 'colour change' thread where Paul Hill made a few intriguing comments.

All UFO colors stem from energetic, ionizing radiation or radiations, generated by the UFO, which ionize the air.
Of all the visible colors, red and orange correspond to the least energy. They are also the two most common colors associated with UFO low-power operation, such as hovering or low-power maneuvers. The electrons have been given the ionization energy, but not much more, and cascade down in small energy drops corresponding to red or orange. This is statistically probable, as there are more small drops available than big ones.

Sheeple doing what sheeple do best. I find it disgusting that they would refuse to speak out. If every pilot reported the truth of what they saw, the airline industry wouldn't be able to keep it under wraps. There would have to be investigations. People would have to take it seriously.

But because they are afraid they remain silent, and humanity gropes in the dark unable to see what is right in front of its face.

Thanks for the post Peskyhumans - have to say I do have quite a lot of sympathy towards pilots who don't speak out due to fear of repercussions, loss of livelihood etc.

Can't say I wouldn't do the same and maybe it's the system that's to blame - atmospherical physicist Dr James E. McDonald describes the '$10, 000 fine and/or 10 years prison' government penalty in THIS vid and some really intriguing statements and research made by the scientist at the link below.

"The type of UFO reports that are most intriguing are close-range sightings of machine-like objects of unconventional nature and unconventional performance characteristics, seen at low altitudes, and sometimes even on the ground. The general public is entirely unaware of the large number of such reports that are coming from credible witnesses... When one starts searching for such cases, their number are quite astonishing. Also, such sightings appear to be occurring all over the globe."

More on the legal regulations (AFR 200-2 and JANAP 146) which 'officially invoke espionage laws in relation to both military and civilian pilots reporting UFOs'.

Quote:

"There is a [military] publication called JANAP 146E that has a section that says you will not reveal any information regarding the UFO phenomenon under penalty of $10,000 fine and ten years in jail. So the secret has been kept."

Lieutenant Frederick Fox

Excerpt from Richard Dolan´s book ´UFOs and the National Security State´:

10 years inprisonment / $10,000 fine.

On February 13th (1954), Jim G. Lucas of Scripps Howard reported that representatives of major airlines were planning to meet in Los Angleles with intelligence officers of the Military Air Transport Service.
The purpose was to speed up UFO reporting procedures. Lucas wrote that airline pilots were reporting large numbers of UFOs during their flights and were now being asked "not to discuss their sightings publicly or give them to newspapers".
Lucas had accurate information. On February 17th 1954 ,officers of the Military Transport Intelligence met with officials of the Airline Pilots Union at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.
The goal of the meeting was to implement JANAP 146,specifically to arrange for pilots to radio UFO reports to the nearest airport and make no public statements about them.
Violations brought prison terms of up to ten years and/or a fine of $10,000.

Scripps Howards papers followed up on February 23rd to report that
"the nation´s 8,500 commercial airline pilot have been seeing a lot of unusual objects while flying at night, here and overseas".
It confirmed that plans for a detailed reporting system were agreed upon to enable the air force to investigate UFOs quickly.
Each airline had an internal security specialist to meet with the Air Force.
