Yes, you read that correctly.

Developed by a fellow in the UK this gun is real.

I was doing a search this evening on 44 magnums chambered lever action guns and I happen to run across this clever handmade gun out of the UK. It is a belt-fed 44 Magnum lever-action Bullpup carbine rifle. I have never seen anything like this before in my life. This article I have linked below is all about this rifle and includes a link to the YouTube video produced by the designer and builder of the gun. I can imagine a role for this rifle for perhaps a suppressive fire mission or big hog hunt and being that it is lever-action it is likely legal to own in most countries that allow private individuals to have firearms.

www.thefirearmblog.com...

Once you read the article and have watched the Youtube video you can see this gun did not require any machined parts to be produced. The entire gun is built with some metal cutting, some drilling, and some after-market parts. The gun it is built upon is common enough to be obtained fairly cheaply. You could rough it in and hand the final assembly off to a gunsmith and get this together for about $1k. The belt feed system that the inventor had made with 3d printing can be copied with some measurements. I find it interesting. I hope ATS does as well.

~4:20 for rate of fire

Cool gun!

Ultimately not something I would take into battle due to rate of fire and instability.

I agree but the cool factor makes me want to build one for fun. My friends are already talking of chipping in on one for us all to play with on some sunny morning out here in the boonies.

Definitely fun, but I'll stick with my .45-70 lever 7+1 with FTX, or Buffalo Bore.

Kill a house, with one shot

Here in Wisconsin we're not usually fighting houses. Must be brutal where your at!

You couldn't have that in Illinois - pistol grip.

Cool gun though...

hopefully ya'll aren't fighting anyone with guns either.

Those who have fired .45-70 magnum load would know what I mean

What a crazy combo. Put away the old Winchester this is how cowboys roll in 2021. Looks like something straight out of fallout: new vegas.

Here in TX feral hogs are a serious problem. This will take care of that.

That's pretty cool. Wonder if you can convert it to semi auto?

Only in Cook County. Once you get out of there it's legal.

Absolutely purposeless. I love lever actions...this thing is a monstrosity

Never owned a 45-70...which is odd because I love large calibers and lever guns. Thrown plenty of rounds out of my Bushmaster 450 bushmaster and BLR 450 Marlin. Definitely had some sore shoulder days but nothing like shooting ground hogs with either....utter annihilation

I don't think, with his aluminum non-machined component design, that it could withstand those forces.

He wants to put 100 rounds through it once he prints enough belt links. I'm not sure 50 is attainable with how much effort he's putting in, not to mention proclivity for a malfunction. Maybe if he stops for a quick breather at 30?

I will say, given all of the design constraints imposed on him (UK gun restrictions, lack of access to machining tools), it was a neat build, and he gets high marks for creativity and vision. However, this is really nothing more than a curiosity only suited for those that can't get access to modern, machined DIY kits IMHO.

I wouldn't hunt hogs with that, I'd prefer something like a .308 so I don't have to get too personal with them.

only thing that i see it has going for it is the magazine. more rounds always means more fun.
he could have at least put a lever with a lager ring and a trigger set screw like the rifle man's.

That looks amazing but what is kickback like? My Redhawk could be pretty rude with hot loads, even with the magna ports.

As far as hogs, cant beat a good ole .300 win mag. I have a model 70 Winchester and it turns rabbits into slush at 300 yards.

How often do you get a 200-300 yard shot at a hog? People use brush guns for a reason.

Huh, I checked on this for Connecticut, thinking this weapon would also be illegal here because of the pistol grip, but from my reading, that restriction would only apply for semi-automatics. Wonder if that is also the case in Illinois.
