Creepy Story From Last Night

Time for a quick, creepy, story that happened last night.

Wife comes into the living room this morning after sleeping late (I had to get up early to let some painters in).

She told me that at about 4 in the morning she woke up (I was sound asleep beside her)...and she saw a small boy of about 5 or 6 standing on my side of the bed just staring at her the whole time.

She said he was dressed in a blue tee shirt and was somewhat pudgy for a little boy with a round face.

She kept blinking her eyes as she was laying there...because she couldn't believe what she was seeing.
She was also 100% certain she was awake.

Finally, she closed her eyes hard...and then opened them again...and the little boy was gone.
It took her a while to go back to sleep.

We have nobody living in the house with us right now...and this boy did not look familiar to her.

All true...and my wife does not have an overactive imagination.

We still have no idea who or what she saw.

Was it sleep paralysis? People can hallucinate when having this issue.

It was a gray.

Sounds like a Democrat hologram.

If she sees him again , she should ask him his name . Who knows , he may be trying to tell you something ..... or .... it could be an alien !

I’ve learned you can’t trust anything that you think happened well in bed just after (you think) you’ve just woken up.

The amount of times I’ve been in bed, heard my alarm go off then gotten out of bed to get ready for work, just doing the old routine... then walked out of my bedroom to find some weird nonsense happening in the lounge room , or even find myself not even in my own house anymore.

Then it occurs to me... hold on, my alarm never even went off and I’m still asleep!

It’s a stress dream, I think.

Sounds like a possible hypnopompic hallucination.
Consciousness playing tricks as your brain wakes up.
I'm not well read on these things but I've come across references to this phenomenon before.

The opposite is a hypnogogic hallucination as youre falling asleep.

Or you could have been visited by a little ghost fella.

Did your wife see the little boys feet and what kind of shoes he was wearing? An did she smell any odd odors...it's important.

Skin walkers can imitate anything or anyone they choose. She should be extra careful in a crowded environment.

Skin walkers are just demons, and that is likely what she saw. It wasnt anything good.
I had an older friend that was like a big sister to me. She was a very humble kind real Christian. In fact she became a missionary after college. She was in Africa witnessing to people and was warned by the local witch doctor to leave immediately. She didnt. The villagers said he could perform real magic and turn into a wild animal. She got a good laugh out of that.
She was in her room and some type of beast like a lion but not, came out of her TV into the room, walking around, looking at her before disappearing. It scared the crap out of her, and she came back to California right away. So guess what happens next? It came out of her TV here in the US, as if to say "dont ever come back".

Its a true story, and very few people knew about it

People are more prone to seeing past the veil in that "dream state" just before waking or going into a deep sleep.
I think the boy was real, but as she became more conscious/awake she lost her ability to see him.

It could have been a child you knew from a past life, maybe even one of your children. Or it could be a little boy who is lost on the other side just looking for his daddy.
Also, it could be a boy who died in that house and hasn't been able to pass over to the other side. Maybe you could tell him it's okay to move on and tell him to look for the light and to go to it.

If you know any psychics, it would be interesting to bring one in and see if they pick up on his presence in the house.

I agree with this. This is the most logical explanation. However, it could have been a grey or a ghost.

If it wasn't a dream it was likely a grey. You guys are probably abductees.

If it doesn't happen again, then let it go.

If it does, see if your wife can ask any questions?
Have them planned out before the next encounter.

He was standing next to the bed...on my side about even with my knees.
She couldn't see his feet.

They used to visit me when I was young...up til I was in college.
Wife never had them visit her...although she did die once when she was in her 20's and was brought back.

Something close to this happend to me quite regularly when I woke up in the morning. Before I put up black out curtains in my bedroom there would be light coming in the room through blinds I had up. Just when I was waking up the blinds would have a large ticker going across them. I could not recognize the script. It looked like runes and or pictograms. I got to were I looked forward to seeing them. I thought maybe someone or something was trying to send me messages? I really wanted to figure out what it was. When I became fully awake it would disappear. I also heard strange noises on occasion. I am on a lot of different meds (no opioids) and I thought it may have been one of them causing the hallucinations. I asked my doctor about it and he said to do some research on "Hypnagogic Hallucinations". It described exactly what was going on. Hypnagogic Hallucinations are along the same lines as "Hypnopompic Hallucinations" as Tulpa mentioned. After I put up blackout curtains the visual stuff stopped but the audible hallucinations became more frequent. Strange but I kind of miss them. I wished I could of taken an image of those runes. They went by to fast to try and copy them down. It feels like a lost opportunity to me. I know people back in the seventies payed good money for this type of thing.

My wife isn't on any medications...and she's never seen this before.
She now believes that she saw her coming grandson...her daughter is pregnant with a boy and due in late August.

As far as we know...nobody died in the house. It only had one owner before us and was built in the early 2000's.

I had heart surgery a while back and they put me on meds to help me with that. The doctor said it was not the meds. I did not intend to make light of your wife's experience. I was speaking about myself. Your description of your wife's experience sounded comparable to mine to me. Take what you can use and leave the rest.
