When its all said and done more people will likely die from the stress and isolation than the actual COVID bug

Well I'm in Colorado and I don't know a single person who died of Covid, and I know a LOT of people here. But I do know some who got Covid and were just fine. My problem is, since the flu has been magically defeated....I can't help but think most of those people just had the flu. But how would we know? Anyone even talking about the flu anymore?
But, it doesn't appear that we will. And even if we do with the context of COVID, we're surely going to have some events in the near future that are going to be in a similar realm of challenge, if not more. Are we better suited now to handle those? I don't think so, I think we're carrying resentment, and no good crisis will go to waste in bringing down perceived enemies who are typically our neighbors.

I have mixed feelings on this. Some countries that battled SARS fared better against Covid.
I think we are too divided as a nation and for things like pandemics it should be all or nothing. Total complete lockdown, or absolutely nothing. Unfortunately we did neither and I feel just made everything much worse and more drawn out.

Yeah. I'm suspicious.
The math doesn't work out right.
Are we talking FB friends in the hundreds of thousands?
Carry on.
Added..
Not trying to sound rude here, but
how would you even know what the death was with admittedly padded cod numbers
And admittedly bogus pcr test standards?
And a virus that now has a 1 million pound reward for anyone who can isolate a sample of it?

Condolences on your losses JAGStorm.
But yeah, in the last year and a half I've not personally known a single person who has caught covid or died from it.
And I too have friends all over the world. I've known plenty of people who have had to quarantine though because 'symptoms' many similar to good old cold and flu, and all of them came out of it it covid free.
Not saying covid isn't real. Not saying people haven't died from it. But I do say every time I hear about it killing people or people even getting sick from it it's from complete strangers and often a friend of a friend of a friend of mine at that.
Won't give my two cents on why this is happening, but I will say there is more to the last year and half than I think we're being told about or are capable of knowing.
And like UFO's I'm not seeing compelling evidence. It takes more than showing me bodies on trolly's outside an Indian hospital and saying they just 'insta died' of covid while waiting for the vaccine and nothing else, like you now some actual evidence.
Same for when someone tells me such on a forum and doesn't provide actual evidence.
End of the day this # is here whether we believe in or not and here to stay. It's time to get the world moving again.
Otherwise I want to start seeing bodies piling up in the streets.
Again my sincere condolences. Losing people always sucks.
But yeah I now think I want to be your friend IRL as much as I want to befriend Jessica Fletcher from Murder She Wrote with your average body count. No offence.
You seem to be beating the averages there pretty well.
On one hand part of me hopes those of you still manipulating the facts and cherry picking them to formulate this patently false idea that covid has been blown out of proportion- have to deal with the virus directly.

I agree, and I do think that is valid for both sides. Some are ridiculous when it comes to Covid and haven't left their house.
Others are way too nonchalant and think it's fake (that boggles my mind).
I understand though, that's why I don't like to argue too much with people because I believe it has to do with their environment. Some people live in a very small circle. They may think they have a lot of friends/acquaintances, but they really don't. They think they have traveled, but they really haven't. Where I live currently is like that. It is a small town, and people think they know a lot of people, and because they travel "North" they think they are well traveled.
I have lived in 38 HOUSES in multiple countries, in many many many states! So if you can just imagine how many people I have met. I went to a different school at least every 3 years. I have worked for three massive companies. One so gigantic it had it's own zip code. So my experience is very different than someone that has lived in the same place all their life, only knows the same people and type of people.
Back to the virus it is real. Someone that lives in New York city probably has a different take on it vs someone from a small town population 5K.
Some places in the US were just not hit as hard. For those people, many haven't had a close hand experience with it.
