Anger in Met after violence at London anti-lockdown protest
Following Saturday’s clashes Met Police Chief Supt Roy Smith said in a now deleted tweet: “What sort of reasonable human being grabs a police officer’s baton and then appears to punch her in the face?
“There should be widespread condemnation of this violence towards officers yesterday.”
Footage taken at the rally showed maskless demonstrators goading officers and chanting: “Shame on you”.
As the officers attempt to move the crowd on, objects are thrown into the air and one protester lets off a canister of blue smoke.
One clip shows officers crouching down to shield themselves
I've had reports about the Police (very very few) even talking and walking with them.

WPC takes a full can of pop to the face at 4:53,gets hauled out.
I think I can see the perp-and if I can so can the cops,he's getting pinched for that.
Its surreal to watch it on 0.25 speed-I reccomend it-you can see whats going on better in the fracas, but it makes the whole thing look like a drunken zombie apocalypse.
While I do get the cops have a difficut job-people have had enough of the covid rules and we are primed for a summer of madness.
Also,I doubt there would have been any violence in hyde park if those cops had not been there.
As soon as you start shoving people and branishing weapons -of course they are going to react-as the police well know, but do it anyway.
An expert said anti-lockdown protesters who ignored social distancing rules and shunned masks were “at the very least a potential risk” to the spread of coronavirus, adding there was some evidence of mass events having an impact
Prof Stephen Reicher from the University of St Andrews, a member of the Scientific Pandemic Insights Group on Behaviours (Spi-B), which advises ministers, said counties in the US that held Trump rallies recorded bigger rises in infections than those who did not.
As the Covid-19 virus continues to spread unevenly across the world, politicians and opinion pages in the US are already blaming new cases of coronavirus on mass demonstrations against police violence and racism. The protests are a visible example of public crowds, and the ideal scapegoat for problems that are far more complex. Some leaders have treated them with overt hostility. But have protests really played a critical role in spreading new cases of coronavirus? The best science suggests probably not a lot.

And they wonder why people don't trust the media nor the Covid lockdown/mask narrative.
