Been Lurking for a long time... recent threads showed it is time to create an account , and stir the pot again.

My main interesst here is to come up with ridiculous conspiracies, and have you folks bash and debunk me for it.

I already spilled my bag of beans but somewhere stuck in the seam there might be more.

I heard about this site from one of my son's,he brought ATS to my
attention.I checked the place out to see what he was posting and
I liked what I saw and joined right away.My 12th anniversary is this
July.

I remember way back yonder years before i actually signed up it was encouraged by the mods to lurk for a while and learn the ways of ATS before making an account. I spent a bunch of years lurking and reading ATS before signing up.

That's neat! I can't even remember how I came across ATS. Probably a search for something at some point, dunno.
I've been on since '16. I joined during the height of a lot of political postings but I mainly came for the UFO/paranormal/fragile earth topics like the hum, quakes, etc. I'm pretty shy but I've opened up with some threads and posts over time and I've found ATS to be a real good thought-provoking community. I like the combinations of perspectives and experiences you find on ATS. Like all places, there is always some baloney scattered throughout, but that's part of the fun. Worth the join, for sure!

When I go to a party, or a work function, or anywhere that I'm expected to socialize with people I don't know....I always just sit back and people watch. I like to learn and observe them before I interact with them. The more I know about them, the more prepared I am to converse with them. I know what makes them laugh, what they can get offended by, maybe what topics they enjoy to discuss. I can also find out who the douchy ones are to avoid, or who I'd like to purposely engage with to instigate a contentious conversation.

I did the same thing here. I lurked for several years. Almost all of the members from the site then are long gone. But it helped me fit in before I came in stumbling and bumbling my way through topics that were way over my head.
