People frequently claim to have "rights" that don't exist except in their own minds. Unless we have a fiduciary interest in the site, we have no right to know who the owners are.

People know who owns Google, FB, Twit and Amazon and they still use it so I guess it really doesn't matter to anyone they just want to talk to others because everyone is so alone with just their phones to hold.

Not sure why it is important.
Who owns it doesn't matter - how it is run does.
If it is run in a way that is not desirable to an individual they have the option to stop using the site.

I have it on good authority that an A.I. created in the future has purchased ATS in order to better understand humanity. This does not bode well for humanity unfortunately.

I might have misunderstood and it was actually a guy named Alex Iveguard from Canada though, in which case he is planning to turn it into a BLM/Furry RP and fansite. This also does not bode well for humanity.

Only I have been asked to sing a creepy love song to Zazz live on air.

I was debating the merits and flaws between “I Feel For You” and “When You Were Mine” by Prince, “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” by Culture Club while Jack suggested “Rock With You” by Michael Jackson...which was a pretty good choice. And distracted me enough that Zazz caught on what was said in the chat room for it not to be as good nor random.


Do You Really Want To Hurt Me was sung about a year or so later for a different reason.

Only if you can't handle contrarian content, one reason I also stay a member of StraightDope.com, it is so far away from my beliefs politically but it's so entertaining and informative sometimes

ATS may be evolving into something different. if you wander away from the political side there is still a plethora of useful and entertaining posts.

ATS is a sum of its participants, some contribute greatly and others just piss and moan.

as for its new owners not gonna worry about it, till when and if it changes.

Those participants also come and go meaning the site's always changing depending on who's actually actively posting at the time.

I've wondered who the new owner ('s are) is as well. I've also noticed recently that several innocuous threads have just suddenly been deleted. There was one about Wisconsin, or some northern state like that, whose state supreme court ruled the governor's mask mandate was unconstitutional and repealed it and the thread just disappeared. I thought the subject was quite newsworthy. Apparently, somebody on here didn't. If it was commenters in the thread, why weren't they dealt with instead of deleting the entire thread? Things like that make me wonder.

Wasn't the ATS reddit started by a member who got banned or something? I remember reading some massive post from there one time by someone who was a mod or something going on a massive butthurt rant about being banned from ATS because he kept saying springer was CIA or something.
