Well, she made that drawing in a minute, but I think it's about the size of a 2 liter soda, maybe a bit bigger.

Yes, surreal.

Placing it in a window may be more significant than just letting light show it's glass.

I have seen jars like this before. I think it held pickles for sale.
I believe it was in a mom and pop store in a gas station. I was young then. Also, I think I've seen them in Bars.

A penny candy jar is what first came to mind.

It's a weird, yet uncanny, super power, I possess.

As important messages from the dearly departed go...it makes more sense than "invent a new pickle jar".

I don't think it's a candy jar/jug. Different shape.

Maybe different than the ones posted but the main idea is that the opening is on the side.

They didn't all come in the same shape.

If life is a jar that can never be filled then the emptiness must have purpose.

Looks like some sort of sideways glass jar to me.

Ah who know. Its just as significant as any other thing out there. That is? Its no different then when a 5 yr old dreams of a unicorn.

Dreams can mean anything you want them to.

Very interesting dream, first of all is not the jar what is important on this dream but the fact that your wife father appeared to her in the dream, the jar could be just a gift and offering of help when the love in is in need.

If your wife is having a time of problems or she is been worried about something having some stress or sickness, the love one comes to her to help her cope with her needs, telling her that he is around and bringing comfort.

I hope this help.

Exactly. The way you put that gave me a sense of warmth. Thank you.

I always been very fond of dreams interpretations, sometimes dreams have powerful messages. She should write down her dream for a few weeks to see if the dream repeat itself or messages become clear.

I was just wondering about him saying something about things not always being what they seem. Perhaps she’s overthinking something and the way she’s looking at it doesn’t bring about a satisfactory result and she may choose a different option. When really all she has to do is turn “ the jar” over and the hole will be top and center. Like an ordinary jar. No need to think abstract or too hard. Sometimes it’s the simplest answer that’s correct.

I dunno. Just an idea. I’m pretty hung up on what her father said and the fact that if you turn the jar 1/4 turn it becomes a regular by jar.

I’ve always been fascinated by dreams. The pic looks like this to me: Link

I think maybe he was telling her to watch out that she wasn’t spreading herself too thin and “losing” more than she was putting into something where she’s spending time and energy. Just my $.02. 😊

I hope this isn't off topic.

A couple of nights ago I had a dream of my father, who died in 2004. He believed in reincarnation, and I literally caught hell for talking about his "fighting the good fight" and his reincarnation beliefs. I had commented that he deserved to have a good next life, in my eulogy of him. When I was done, the evangelicals preacher my mother hired for his memorial service unleashed a tirade of hell, fire and damnation for anyone believing such things. My mother, who was now in charge of the family estate, threatened to cut me out of the will! She didn't.

Anyway, in the dream, my father was a teenage boy, working in his family's antique and collectables emporium, in Germany. He excitedly showed me delightful things that I had never seem before, a couple of dancing dolls rescued from on a old coocoo clock. I recognized them like they were old friends! Then there were a pair of red and white watering cans, that weren't really watering cans. They were secret stash hiders, used to hide jewelry and coins from the Nazis. I also found them to be reassuringly familiar.

I was a refreshing dream.
