Trump had the boarder completely under control for the 1st time according to boarder security. If caught they would be sent back. If they applied for citizen ship they had to wait in Mexico or somewhere besides the US.

All that tells me is that there has been a big problem involving kids at our border for a long time.

The Trump administration worked out an arrangement with Mexico for that country to keep the migrants until their turn for processing arrived.
