DB Cowboy says goodbye

Never had I thought I'd ever write this, but I'm leaving ATS.
Gonna give it one final go.
Give me space and time to leave this site and find my peace with God and nature.
You all are always going to be remembered.
Up until now I thought I'd always be on ATS.
Never did I think that I'd leave.
Going away from this site will be difficult.
To say this is a farewell, is disheartening.
Let me assure you though that I will remember all of you fondly.
You all are wonderful members of a great community.
Down the road, who knows, I may return.

If not, have a good journey man. Always liked our discourse.

Everytime I feel the earth rumble, I'll think of you walking by.

That's ironic because today is my last day too. At least for some months. I need a break from news and especially politics and 'pandemic' .

Going to focus on my wife and I's personal life and spiritual life. People are getting too emotional. I wont be passive or active. I will try and just be above it - of the world but not in it.
I will only really engage if it relates to actively harming or confining me or mine.

That said...all of us who've gotten to know you over the years....completely understand your decision.

ATS will absolutely lose one of it's all-time legends...and, frankly, I believe ATS should erect an ICON in your honor and memory on it's Forum Page.

Well damn, you are one of the last reasonable voices when it comes to politics. I'm probably not far behind you on leaving this site as well.

Five years ago,I posted a thread claiming to be 61 and pregnant.
A lot of members thought I really was pregnant until someone
realized it was April Fools Day.

Why?

It's always a pain in the ass when something happens on April 1, no one ever believes you.

My little brother got ran over by a mailman on April 1st once, no one believed me. He was okay unfortunately.
