Anyone check out the new docuseries on HBO?

There's only four episodes out right now, but so far it's been extremely interesting. Cullen Hoback seems to do a good job at being fair... And when I say that, I think it's clear from the beginning this isn't something he subscribes to, but opens up with the explanation that he is a free speech advocate, and while this may not be his cup of tea, I don't think he's seeking silencing, maybe just more understanding.

I also like how it digs into some of the early social media institutions.

Anyways, anyone else watch, and what's your thoughts?

That’s probably the reason they were so successful in popularizing the whole MAGA (right wing conspiracy) movement.

To be fair, isn't that a fair representation?

No one knows who is truly behind it. So to me at least, it's fair for someone trying to make an account of what's happening to play a game of Who.

To your point of the doc making people seem crazy, I think some of the characters come off as crazy, others come off as sane with questionable intent, and some come off as completely normal who are just interested in obscurities.

Again, I think the docuseries has been fair thus far. The topic at face value demands critique given we can't vett the key player.

We can thank God and Q that we have been blessed with Qanon to put "science" back in the hell hole from whence it came.

Armageddon, let's get this party started!!

They all seemed uncomfortable with the question of if they to to 8chan to see the Q drops.

Most said they only go if they have to, or played dumb on what's over there.

It definitely adds some irony that the "resistance" is hosted on a platform that also engages in some of the same activities they rail against. I'm sure their rebuttal would be they were forced to go to that platform, but the fact remains it is what it is.

I can't get a read on what those two's angle is.
