First U.S. Space Force Boot Camp Training | 2020 Space Force Basic Training This is the first U.S. Space Force Boot Camp Training (Basic Military Training) and these recruits are the first to attend Basic Military Training before entering the operational Space Force. The Space Force performs its basic training through Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, with the inclusion of space-specific curriculum, while still training alongside Air Force recruits.

The newly formed U.S. Space Force is deploying troops for the first time to the Arabian Peninsula. Qatar’s Al-Udeid Air Base is now home to a group of 20 space professionals. Watch them take on a new journey during their deployment ceremony held on September 1st, 2020.

The mission of protecting America’s vulnerable orbital networks falls to U.S. Space Command and Space Force, which since December has the same status as the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

I think a lot of the joke was that we're barely a space-faring civilizatiom and we're not even close to being a type 1 civilization, so people get a chuckle out of the idea because they don't believe we remotely resemble the images the mind conjures when hearing the term "space force". Too much Hollywood sci-fi.

What about the Navy? They would have more experienced crews trained in confined quarters.

The navy already is the secret space force. This is the not secret, public version 50 years behind.

Yeah, I heard about that too. Apparently, if you watch Star Trek, you'll get it........All of the crew have Naval designations: Captain Kirk, Commander Sulu, ETC...
