Being forced to wear a COVID mask is dehumanizing us.

Not sure that this whole covey thing has made anyone inhuman.

But I'm pretty sure it's exposed a few people who weren't very good humans to start with..

Personally I'm comfortable enough with myself that wearing a thin piece of material over my face won't cause me any psychological trauma. What kind of snowflake gets that worked up over a mask?

I would definitely agree with that sentiment!

Does your employer wear a cast on his asymptomatic non-broken leg?

You know that makes no sense, right? Oh you do? Cool, just so we're on the same page...

Everyone poopooing this thread should really read up on childhood/infant development and how facial expressions and facial cues effect that.......

You know since you always say to listen to "the science"

Also, in my opinion this pandemic hasn't been as deadly as the media & powers that be made/make it out to be, so the visual of the masks helps perpetuate the fear and "ever-present danger" psychological effect

I would say that the mask makes gauging the compliance of the populace easier. Same with the ridiculous double masking and arbitrary 6 foot rule.
As always it is about control. I suppose through a surveillance camera a masked pleb getting twitchy when someone is within body height distance away is easiest to determine visually (or for an AI that is learning to count and make percentages)

The masks are doing great phycological harm, we can't see anybody smile at us, it makes people look more ominous.

I can tell when someone smiles even if they have a mask on.

Where I live people also greet each other, even if they are strangers, so a nice good morning/afternoon/evening, is shared, even from behind a mask.

Honestly, I think people are just looking for a reason to not wear a mask. If you don't want to, just don't. There is no need to try and justify it.

And you would be correct. So what? It’s a reaction to some fhead trying to justify everyone wearing one, 24hrs a day 7 days a week for months on end.
Learn to be accomodating to other people’s concerns, they have them and should be allowed to voice them, even if you would like them to just not comply and shut up.

People like me who have bad asthma and were on death's door twice. Who getvery anxious about the loss of freebreathing. Who have to run out of shops because they start wheezing. Those kind of people.

Masks are something that should have been incorporated into our lives long ago. There are many people I know whose faces I would prefer not to see and masks make this possible. Just yesterday I bumped into one of my drinking pal’s, Graham. Dont get me wrong, he’s a nice bloke but his face always makes me feel incredibly nauseous every time I see him. Thankfully, yesterday he was wearing a mask and I felt much more comfortable in his presence.

You didnt get the memo. If you are white and dont see color........you are a racist. And I am not making that up; there was a thread on that this week.

That alone brings up an interesting issue. The "leftists' are always saying we gotta have the race discussion. Wha'ts to discuss if its already been decided that all white people are racist?

Seeing someone driving, alone, wearing a mask certainly makes me question their species. I remind myself how far they've really come in cloning sheep

Not long ago, seen a dude come out of his house, walk past me, said hi, got into his truck alone, immediately put a mask on and drove off. I just couldn't get the logic behind that..

No mask walking past a stranger all good

Driving alone #ing mask up...

I imagine that most of these anti maskers have hideous faces with a perverted need to push them on everyone else. Thoughtless and ill mannered! Not everyone wants to look at your ugly mugs 24/7, do us all a favour and cover that hideous exterior. It’s just common courtesy.

Why not try a face shield? I realise that this won’t hide any exterior vulgarities which others may prefer not to see, but it might help you from catching COVID which I imagine would be devastating on your body with all of these dispositions.

I am currently putting together a petition to have mask wearing remain mandatory after COVID for anyone from Derbyshire. I am sure that anyone who has ever visited understands why. The petition is quickly gathering speed on Twitter with some big names like Carole Malone and Lord Sugar having already signed it. Exciting times, I imagine they’ll want me on TV soon!
