I'm really bummed out I mean it March 12th part of my life ended in being paralyzed not physically

I think recently many of my post have been part of the feeling that actually was going to take place in my life and it wasn't going to be in the Month of May either. It was this March 12th on Friday at 4 pm.
I met the first failure that there is now no way to pull me out of the pit of being paralyzed . So what I am I going to do. Cycle and tour Japan.

In the mean time to keep my mind off of failure. Ask me any question about life, I've experience a lot and I mean a good life and a life of struggling too.
So let the questions begin, please.

It all begin when I was in 4th grade, I guess I should begin there. Back in the old days the classes were separated for fast learners ( which I was in ) and students in the other class . But as kids we knew of no difference. While in 4 th grade I contacted some form of a brain malfunction. Starting in 5 grade I was put in the what would be called today remedial type classes. Academically I was lost from then on.
On March 12 th Friday, I was told I'd never get to have another drivers license. Recently I had an brain scan and to the best of my knowledge there was not a " darkness ' as it was explained to my wife in Japanese . I then took one of them cognitive type of test to see if I'm all mentally there. ( I don't how other to explain it ) I'm nearing 70 of age. The test had 25 questions. Luckily it was done at the hospital and they provided me it in English. I scored a perfect score on. If any of you had taken such a test you know what it details.
I did everything possible to prove my competency , both physically and mentally. ( not that I have to mention, but martial arts was part of my life for many years )
On March 12th the doctor sat down with the wife and went over what is the possibility that lies a head for me. The bottom line was that MIM will NOT have a drivers license no longer in this country.
So yes, I'm paralyzed in that regards. A man in this country without a drivers license is not good. I want to just stick here with what happen and I've been waiting 2 years for March 12. And yes, my post probably have shown some stress in them, so I think for me is just , hell I don't know. So I'd like to chat about any questions ( simple ) you may have on your mind about life. I haven't been through it all, but I'm determine to make it. Thanks

I am guessing para, otherwise you wouldn't be planning a cycling tour.
Never mind, I see that you cleared that up.

A license is permission from the government to do something that you have every right to do in the first place.
If you aren't crashing around town, squashing pedestrians and small animals with your vehicle, I say DRIVE ON!!
You may get a ticket if you get caught, so don't get caught! Be smart, do not draw attention to yourself by over-caution. Just act like you have every right to be doing what you are doing, because you have every right to be doing that.

Can you get obtain an international driver’s license for another county? I had one from Thailand at one time.

Sadly it doesn't work that way in this country. I had a "gold license", that meant I had a perfect driving record for nearly 30 years here. I voluntarily gave them up for a non selfish reason 2 years ago. But after giving them up I was informed about something regarding permissions to be granted on a limited time basis, but it was too late. There's more to this, but it gets into and area that I'll drop here. ( I was fkn tricked into surrendering my license )

Sadly I can't. In this country the doctor works directly with the police. If the doctor says NO, then the police will have go with the doctors advice.
What really took place is that the wife did not want me to have a license because I'm an adventurous type of person and she couldn't control me.

Well,as long as the only negative is that you can no longer drive-that isn't too bad Bro.
Cycling is fun in nice weather,but maybe you can get a driver to drive you places in your car.

But make them wear a smart suit and open the car door for you,then people will assume you are super wealthy and let you in to all the top parties

Lol it's Japan that's the culture there. The wife runs the house, the husband works, gives the wife the money, the wife doles out an allowance for her husbands smokes and having fun and such while the husband works himself to death.

My old roommate isn't allowed to get a license. He has epilepsy and has seizures regularly. He's also got a clot in his brain that could go at any time and cause an aneurysm. He ended up going the electric bike route. You don't need a license for them here and with some modifications you can get em to go 50km/h or faster. They're also pretty fun to ride. They're totally silent and accelerate pretty fast.

Either your told old and senile to drive, or your wife is a gas lighter and you made a grave mistake in your partner choice.
The third is you are just mentally impaired as previously stated which explains a lot about your posts actually! I mean every doctor your whole life can’t be wrong right?

Just for people's concern, he is not actually paralyzed, or about to be.

You shouldnt make a statement like that even if you address it later on. Not everyone will read the whole thread.

Good luck op. I enjoy your perspective over on that side of the world.
I love drving and do not look forward to having that right removed.
Check out some of the new e bikes if you want an easy ride.
They are awesome. 60mph...30mph less than my motocross bike.
You could filter through traffic like magic.





Just saw the still on the yt video..lol..apparently they are easy to ride, even guys with one leg can do it!
