Yep, AM got to me on that one. I guess it's my aversion to any of those ''voices of authority'' that blurs them into morass that makes it difficult to distinguish one from another.
Thanks though.

Woah dude, are you putting the blame on her?

I'm saying I don't believe her , she hasn't been allowed to get her own way so she's flounced off back home and get her revenge.

He on the other hand is a literal representation of patriarchy, along with other archys. On top of that, he has gingervitis.

Not true , Harry is the closest thing to a real person in the family , he hasn't been groomed to be King since the law was changed years ago to let girls stand in the line of succession so William's kids are up next.

I was just throwing out mindless banter.

She seems like a real piece of work. Wouldn't be surprised if she's got a succubus agenda.

Honestly, I bet most Americans couldn't tell you the names of half the Royals from across the pond.

If we are being honest, most Americans don't know who the governor or senators of their states are.

Facts.

If they pay any attention to it, it's just the letter in parentheses after the name.

Most Americans could not even point out the UK on a map.

They really don't care. It might be a little entertainment for a minute or two, but most
Americans really don't care.

I'm only in my thirties and my math teachers always used the "you're not always going to have a calculator with you".

Lol, why should I trust them.

I'm more concerned that people can't balance a checkbook despite social media making them experts in everything else.

Um.... I very seriously doubt there is one reason for everyone interested in the Royal Family. I can explain my interest in the Royal Family, which is based upon history, religion, law, and a personal connection. But I can't speak for everyone.

I'm pretty sure though that at least one reason is no different than those who care so much about who I and others care about. Why do so many people care that I care about the Royal Family? It has no bearing on anyone else. Perhaps even more intriguing, why are so many people so quick to assume the worst and be so insulting to those who do care?

I greatly admire Queen Elizabeth for her lifelong work; and I look at the rest as her family, not simply "royals". I'm impressed with her very down-to-earth style, her diplomacy, her commitment to her country and her people, and her accomplishments with the Commonwealth. I very much appreciate the idea of national figures whose only job is to promote and cheer for the awesome people of the nation. I'm appreciate that the Queen stands as a diplomatic figure between Britain's politicians and other nation's leaders. It's quite a remarkable and admirable life for many many reasons. She is a real person, born into a very unique and challenging and important role in the world -- not just Britain.

I'm not impressed with their wealth, their palaces, their "celebrity." (I do "ooh" and "ah" some of their dresses!) I don't put them on pedestals. I consider them ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. And like all people, some rock it and some blow it and some are basically non-remarkable.

Meghan Markle, however, is not a Royal... and is a whole 'nother class!

That's not totally true.

The British Empire was once half of the world and now it's the size of Texas.

So when does it become adequate britain instead of great?
Or fair Britain?

There was shrinkage due to global cooling. It wasn't their fault.

It really hasn't been the same since we defeated them in WW2.
