Good question and that brings up the difference between equality and equity.

This move is for equity. It basically means an equal outcome. But for many, it will be dependent on government.

I don’t want to burst your poorly surmised economic philosophy but white voters will be the biggest group to benefit from this bill. I know taxes are tough for the average voter and it’s hard to understand sometimes, but rest assured this was a tax alley oop to the suburbs mainly.

Can I please not pay child support the month my ex gets her child tax credit for my three kids please??????

The personal income tax on earned income -- on our sweat and labor -- has always been the biggest bribery/extortion scheme in the country that has been made "legal" under color of law.

It serves no purpose other than to empower the corrupt critters and to subjugate the people in various ways. Any tax on our earned income is too much. Any tax that imposes a higher penalty upon earned labor then UN-earned labor is inherently and necessarily unjust.

We fight each other for scraps, they fight for money and power over us. I don't even have to read the thread to know the majority of comments will be denigrating our fellow men and women rather than the means by which we're controlled: The personal income tax on our sweat and labor.

Just to clarify, due to the numbers game in the usa population, technically the majoroty of citizens/residents receiving this money will still be white. Black comes in second. Any number of both races will also be speaking spanish.

So I only mentioned race once, when speaking about the bill which the op was about. And you're correct, the world is not black and white, but if you don't think this is a ploy to apease the black community, then you need to look at it again. And some of the last numbers I looked at showed as much as 70-75 percent of births to black mothers are out of wedlock. Even though black make up less percentage of the population, they also have more children, out of wedlock, and they've also been taught to use the system.

Call me racist if you want, but it's just the truth.

You're only a bit right. Americans, all Americans have seen a significant decline in babies born. The birth rate for Americans has been dropping for the last 10 years (from the CDCs figures).
Now like Europe with extremely low birth rates, 1.8 children per couple, Then you have (like America) an influx of migrants who have a birth rate of 7 to 8 children per couple, now think, just who will this benefit in the long run. You aint gotta be Einstein to see what's happening.

Okay fair enough, I'll change my statement, it's a plot to appease non whites. I think you are correct onnthe fact that immigrants will eventually be benefiting. And its hard to track how many children they have, being as most of them aren't even technically documented. Although really if they're not citizens they shouldn't be receiving anything, but we all know it doesn't happen like that.

People who earn $0 per year will now qualify.

I have a huge... HUGE... problem with tax credits that work as subsidies.

A tax credit should only ever be allowed to offset actual taxes owed. Period.

Prior to now, you had to earn $2,500 or more.

Still, just, no. If there is a tax credit of $3,600 per child, and you have 3 kids, and earn only $2,500, then you simply owe no taxes, but they should never, ever, get more.

If you want to provide outright welfare, then call it that. Disguising welfare as a tax credit is pure radical leftist/democrat/socialist/communist/newspeak garbage.

Single caretakers up to $200,000 and Couples up to $400,000 annual income Qualify for the credit.

Again, it should only apply to taxes actually owed. If anyone in those categories otherwise arranges their affairs, and only owe $2,500 in taxes, and otherwise qualify for $10,000 in tax credits, then they simply owe no tax. PERIOD.

President Biden wants to make this increase and expansion permanent. Not just a one time gift courtesy of the Covid-19 relief bill.

But not for long. Airfare is now $750 from Chicago to Honolulu. Was $560 last week.

The $1,400 stimulus payments may be delayed because Biden's Administration wants to do something different with them than the Trump Admin did with the previous two payments ($1,200 and $600).

So the credit is only for Children under eight? - Do they not realize how much food teenagers eat and how much it costs to cloth them - I swear this is absolutely ridiculous. If they are actually doing this they might want to do a reality check.
