I was thinking about The Giver too actually after I posted this, it is a great book and I enjoyed the movie as well. In The Giver Shakespeare and certain art had been outlawed too if I recall correctly.

Yes!!! When I first read about the hound, I kind of wanted to try and illustrate it. The whole entire ending to the book was fantastic, and that part when the hound killed the innocent man on live tv just to give the populace the illusion of being in control and etc. was so good and sad.

a little off topic but I too was considering a 'tree burial' and found this place some years ago. I want to be with my horses so I thought I would pick a tree that will do well where they are (and hope my friends will plant me!).

I will have to check out The Giver!

I love it. If I choose to be cremated that may be what I do.

I kind of wanted my rotting naked body to be put into the earth to feed the worms and help fertilize the ground for the tree/plants/wild to grow on. Without chemicals, all natural.

Def check out The Giver. The book is pretty short and really good.
