Heinlein had the idea in the '60's. The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress. Mycroft Holmes AKA Adam Selene. A little different but the concept is there.

We all knew that it was coming here. This tech could start a war. You can no longer believe your eyes or your ears. We're #ed.

Can one really trust one's own eyes, to see truthfully ?

Can one trust one's own ears, or other senses ?

Is it not all perception, and interpretation ?

Can we really 'know' : through our senses ?

Or is it all belief ?

Well in the wrong hands of MSM, yes I believe it could. That movie "The Running Man" is reality now.


Imagine waking up and seeing Kim Jong-un doing a live broadcast here in the U.S. or better yet the Representative of Liechtenstein stating they launched nukes at San Francisco and NYC... but in actuality it's a Deep Fake and the U.S. launches a retaliatory strike because of technology.

During ww2 Vietnam and other wars we dropped fake propaganda leaflets over enemy territory. We flew aircraft with fake radio stations broadcasting fake propaganda. This is just the next logical step.

Yeah, it is a whole can of worms from basic entertainment productions to speeches made by statesman. Terrifying prospects and how far it has come within such a short period of time.
