This implication is based on assumption that advanced species capable of erasing progress and reshaping the world are incapable of finding better solution for conflict than you as a human can think of. It's projecting yourself on something that could have incomprehensibly different thought process.

This theory also basically says that evidence to prove itself is gone. This means you can say absolutely anything and it will fit, making it a bit pointless to discuss.

I don't think it takes much more tech than we have now to reshape a world. Once you're in space, and freely traveling it, you can purposefully steer asteroids onto collision courses as you see fit.

Probably aimed, a big one will hit with a force way bigger than an atom bomb.

There are a number of fun collision calculators on the internet, that can give a good idea of what even one of the smaller asteroids in the asteroid belt would do if it hit another object at high speed.

It's part of my philosophy about technology and technological progress. I suspect that some technologies peak, and then won't ever be capable of being pushed further.

It's possible that some questions won't ever have better answers than they have now.

Technological research is like combing a beach with a metal detector, hoping to find gold or old coins. If you look harder and longer, you have a better chance of success, Sure.

But if there's nothing under there, then it doesn't matter how hard you look.

Yeah, it is kind of silopsist.

But the evidence would be along the lines of what you look for when someone sneaks into your house and steals something, hoping not to leave a trace. (Or like a classic murder mystery!!!)

They probably will leave a trace.
