The double Deane-Salyers weddings raise a question: If one set of identical twins marries another set of identical twins, how genetically similar would their children be?
"In theory, we would expect their children to be genetically as similar as full siblings are to each other," said Laura Almasy, a professor of genetics at the University of Pennsylvania. Siblings born to the same set of parents share about half their genes with one another.

Ha. I'm an identical twin. We have the same DNA. Identical twins are considered clones.
Some people have this notion that clones would act alike and think alike, but this is furthest from the truth. Each individual is their own entity with their own thoughts and their own actions and thus their own consequences. Clones are their own unique individuals with their own unique lives.

Can you and your twin talk by just looking at each other? I knew twins that did that.
Sometimes just a really bad gut feeling something was wrong and having no idea why.

Not only can they do that but I bet if you punch one the other feels it.
We should test this theory.

Yup, I knew something happened to my sister, and she was in an auto accident.
I find this subject fascinating! In my youth, I recall reading a book that detailed multiple examples of this kind of empathy, not only between twins, but anyone with a strong tie to someone else, even if not genetically related. I wish I could remember the name of the damn book.

Learn something new everyday.
If identical twin sister married identical twin brothers, and had kids.
Their kids would be cousins, but genetically SIBLINGS....!
How weird right?
