Sometimes, you have to really think your heroing through. It wouldn't do to accidentally wreck someone for a little cultural misunderstanding. I mean one person's controlling husband who won't let his wife leave the house is just another culture's proper husband. And telling someone to speak the language is terribly racist and insensitive ... unless you're the Chinese shopkeeper.
