Valheim blew up on Steam the other day, reaching over 1 million sales as it starts into Early Access.

It's like Viking inspired purgatory meets Minecraft for those who dont know.

Curious if anyone here has picked it up, seems like it could have a lot of potential, and hopefully with all new found sales they will be able to complete everything on the roadmap and hopefully all the extra stuff. Cash tends to help development reach the goals.

The World is massive.

I got a dedicated server up if anyone needs a spot to play without threat of server vanishing.

Should be able to find it in game through server list, look for Dark Age, you can build whatever wherever idc, I am pretty chill, if anyone interested pm me and I'll send you the password.

I picked up too, though disappointed at the amount of games I can only play on low settings.

I really need a new GPU, crashed mine from playing Statisfactory, it revived after a day, but that's another story.

I got a feeling of what I always expected Runescape to become.

The leveling of everything from cutting trees to even jumping. I only got as far as turning a broken hut into my house. I plan on playing more.

Edit: Watch where trees fall! They can knock other trees down and almost killed me, the first tree I chopped down.

Guess I am from a more ancient time, the skill based system reminds me a little bit of Ultima Online, hell I'd like to see a mod that made it more like that.

I've died more times to trees and falling in my moat than I've died to mobs and I've killed 2 of the gods so far.

Satisfactory looked pretty cool, was thinking about snagging it eventually.

I saw a review of it a couple of days ago which was very positive especially as it's early access , I think it looks interesting and I don't play survival crafting games ... for the price you can't really go wrong as its Steam rating is Overwhelmingly Positive from over 21,000 reviews.

I love it, but wasn't prepared for the sheer size that game can become.

Crashed my GPU when visiting a friends world.

If you played Factario, it's like a 3d version of that. But less hostile elements.

But I am glad I'm not the only enemy of the trees.

I felt mighty stupid after walking away with 4 HP after that accident, lol

I do love the skill based leveling instead of no leveling system or just simple character levels.

I may have to look at Ultima just so I can experience it.

Ultima Online is really weird now, at least the live version, if you do I'd look for maybe a private server for free, theres one that has its own updated client, so its not the ancient client trying to look fresh, but one you can do it 4k no problem.

Gotta remember UO was made when max resolution was like 800x600.

www.classicuo.eu... updated client still need game files but most servers let you download them

www.uosecondage.com... a free server with first expansion from UO, imo anything after this UO starts to not be UO. if you are interested.

I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks for the links, I'll have to pull them up when I get a chance to sit at my desktop.

Grounded, Drakes Hollow, Aground(sp) last one is a port or expanded version of a browser game from Kongregate.

I will check this out.

I have been playing Atlas for a year now. Early Release, $2.99. It is now $30 on Steam, still EA.

It frustrates me to no end sometimes, but I love it. If any of you play, DM me, I need a bigger company.

Launch was so bad I kinda avoided that title, I've played a crap ton of ARK so I was cautious with wildcard studios.

Picked it up two days ago, put in ten hours so far. Loving this game. Looks great, fun to play. Just finished the first boss last night after running around building things.

I think we got up to 5 people logging in now, just a bump and reminder for anyone who wanna link up.

I sailed down to the Ashlands last night, I put up a portal but forgot to drop a portal at base so I'm a little stranded for now hahaha.

Used to be a major Warcraft player a few years ago and although I do miss it, there's no way I've got the time to delve back in now.

Saying that, I do dabble with some games now and again albeit for short periods, I gave Valheim a go and I've been messing with it solo-style the last few days, it's good

Very smooth game play, tons to do, great graphics and a reasonable levelling system. My only worry now, considering I've got tons of work to do, is serious distraction
