Politicised and Media Hyped - Junk Science for the Automatons - The New Variants.

I suspect by now many people realise that the planet is now polarised. There are those, like myself and many here, who hold a considered opinion based on personally researched facts and science, which includes reading the actual science papers. And I'm considered a conspiracy theorist, LOL.

Then there are those that just do what they're told to do, believe what they're told to believe. They are the automatons. There is no help for them, so wrapped in their opinions & feelings formed from the thorough research of a tabloid headline. I've actually stopped discussing CV19 altogether as I've found automatons tend to explode just at the point they realise they haven't got a # clue what they're talking about.

Anyway, I've come across a video, linked below at vimeo, and also published at OffGuardian.org

Rosemary Frei dismantles the "science".

The actual title of the video is Is it True that the New Variants are Very Dangerous?. A fair question.

For those that can't watch the video there is a full transcript at OffGuardian.org. For those that can I'd recommend it, quite entertaining really.

In a nutshell, it would appear that the science, as well as the media hype, is garbage.

I haven't actually read the science personally, so I am taking Rosemary's word for it at the moment. But I can give you a bit of over hyped media BS.

It is always good to do research! Although the research I have done shows the UK variant is more transmissible and even gets children sick, unlike other variants. That's about all I know.

If your innate system learns about this virus, it will fight it variants and all. B cell immunity is adaptive, antigen based immunity is more specific. The only reason that this vaccine works at all is it is inducing the innate system to some extent, the antigens it is utilizing is not directly related to this virus from what I have read, it is monoclonal antibodies.

So, I cannot tell anyone how this will turn out because research on this is not out there for me to read, because it is a new type of vaccine. I can only speculate and I am not sure that this vaccine will be symptom free long term.

Why not read it before you post it? That way it would not have your tentative evaluation "at the moment". Wouldn't that be more practical?

So Neil Ferguson was co-author of two of the papers that predict doom and gloom with the so called variants. Well that’s all I need to know to know it will be blown up out of all proportion if his previous work is anything to go by. How does this guy still have a job? Let alone one advising the government?

Neil Ferguson was a co-author of the first and third papers. The UK government has relied on Ferguson’s mathematical modeling for many years. This is despite his work turning out to be highly inaccurate time after time. He also supposedly stepped down from his government-advisory role last May after being caught secretly meeting with his married lover during a time when it was illegal to make contact with anyone outside of one’s household, thanks in large part to his modelling. But he was quickly restored to positions of influence. In an article and accompanying video coming out next week, I describe the connections and conflicts of interest surrounding Ferguson and the modeling papers’ other authors.)

We are living in a time of diverging realities, there is no consensus regarding truth, maybe there never was.

Umm... Covid19 is far more deadly than the common cold. And it can have lingering effects on the lungs and other body parts. I'm confused, are you not capable of thinking critically or something? Or what was your point?

Thanks. It's interesting that there are things out there that can likely assist with mitigating CV19, such as the use of vitamin D outlined in the last paper you linked.

These are the types of things that make me think the whole thing is a con. It's like Invermectin or a HCQ & Zinc therapy. If the plandemic really were so serious, wouldn't you throw everything at it that you've got? Wouldn't you suggest that people take vitamin D? wouldn't you make Invermectin* available to patients who may well be on the brink of dying? And wouldn't you do the same with HCQ & Zinc?

To give you an analogy, it's as if someone with a bucket of water is watching a small fire develop in a waste paper basket in the corner of a room, but is refusing to use the bucket of water because the fire brigade are on their way.

* - I realise Invermectin is now available in the US, but I'm pretty sure it's still a complete conspiracy theory here.

Can you point to a single reputable mainstream source that claims it is very dangerous?

There is much speculation that current vaccines may be less effective against the South African variant (and some evidence that the Oxford vaccine is less effective against it). Otherwise, the story seems to be that it's probably no more contagious than other strains (as in the extract you posted).

Sounds like a straw man argument, or am I reading the wrong MSM?

I assume you don't have friends and relatives who've died of it. I have, as have others on ATS.
