Montana man captures large floating orb....

Man in Montana captures a large hovering then ascending orb in Ferndale Montana recently. Not much additional information.

Oh, Lordie. Really poor quality, as you would expect. If it was clearer then it would have been easy to work out that it was heli, drone with a light, Chinese lantern or similar.

I think the aliens best piece of technology is automatically turning every phone into a potato once they start recording.

Absolute garbage obviously filmed with potato cam. It's not the crazy accounts of abductions or weird space creatures that gives UFOs a bad name. It's stuff like this.

Quite impressed being honest and realistic about it. The footage is a bit all over the shop but looking at it logically that is exactly how one gets footage of these things when you go into panic mode and fumble about trying to get an image while staying composed in poor light conditions and trying to hold your nerve while you witness something totally out of the normal zone. Good capture

I agree. What are the chances of grabbing quality footage, possibly from a moving vehicle, in the dark and on the spur of the moment? The light does appear sporadic but controlled and initially, I thought it could be a helicopter...but I am not 100% convinced I am right.

What? What isn't possible? If you're talking about the balls of light, I've seen them myself up close, so they're definitely real.

Yeah it could be a helicopter, while at the same time there are certain moments where one can see the background as a location point and the orb does seem to be dancing around, much like a real ufo orb does

Absolutely. I've challenged myself sometimes by just spotting a flying plane or party balloon and trying to get a simple picture or video of it, but by the time you get the damned camera out of your pocket and the app running and everything properly focused, it's usually gone, baby gone. Getting anything is an accomplishment.

But it's only a personal accomplishment, as it adds absolutely nothing to the overall discussion of UFOs but another junk video to the already overwhelming pile. Here's my last attempt. Saw a funky, square-ish balloon sail over a few months ago. Yeah, I got something. But it's essentially worthless.

I wonder about the sound. It seems to match up. No post-production shenanigans. The guy is breathing hard, which is understandable. There's a low rumble, though, like some kind of engine running, but that stops when the thing starts to rise up above the hill. Toward the end of the video, there is another sound, possibly coming from the thing itself like a higher-pitched hum or whooshing sound. Doesn't sound like a drone or helicopter.

And there don't seem to be any navigation lights or other pieces to the thing. Looks like a lighted sphere.

EDIT: I don't care for the timing of the cut. It drops out just as the thing is getting close enough to maybe see or hear what it really is. He couldn't keep filming for another 15 seconds? As the kids say, it's a little "sus."

So true Indeed if needed I could jump in the car right now and go and meet one with a 50/50 chance of it making an appearance. That's if I wanted to which being honest and realistic about it is not really something I would want to go back to at this age of life, maybe in my 30's but not now. I couldn't take it lol!

Yeah between the 24 and 30 second zone the orb appears to moving around all over the place. That's doubtful a copter, drone............. Well it's sort of buzzing aroung rather than zipping around, so on that I'm sticking with white type ufo orb, for now

You can tell he was using a red potato camera instead of the more advanced Russet model. Why do they always run around like an idiot? Just stand yourself still and brace the phone so you can actually see what you're "recording."

Seriously, it could be a number of things. Probably not a helicopter, possibly a drone, potentially a lantern, but definitely a U.F.O, either way you look at it.

What is to keep a person from having a friend drive up a mountain, at a certain time release a lighted balloon and photograph it?
There is no way to tell anymore if something is real. The min the put $$ in the mix on YouTube added a ton of fakes.

You cannot catch them.

You cannot detain them.
