Even before Biden took office, Thomas said they started to notice an increase in foot traffic in the late fall of 2020 because the Mexican cartels knew the more "hands-off" approach Biden would take when dealing with the southwest border. The effect is what he's calling "Obama 2.0" since they saw similar behavior under President Barack Obama's administration.

"When [Trump] took office, we saw that this area out here went completely dead. Nobody was moving, nobody was smuggling because [the cartels] knew that Trump was going to put all hands on deck out down here and that they would be intercepted so it came to a screeching halt," Matthews said. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office saw a dramatic decline in human trafficking for a few years in the early 2010s because the cartels wanted to focus on getting drugs into the United States. Once marijuana started to become legal in the U.S., it devalued their cash crop so the cartels switched to hard drugs, such as fentanyl, which is easier to transport and is not limited to growing seasons like marijuana. Now, law enforcement in the county is seeing human smuggling making a comeback in addition to the regular drug runs.

Just think, when Biden comes for the guns, they'll start adding those to their cash crop too.

I couldn't care less about kids in cages.

But the thought that did cross my mind this morning. Of course, Biden wont discourage illegal crossings; he's all about open borders. But there is sort of a pyrhic victory opportunity in this for the rest of us.........Open Borders will destroy the US and rend the social fabric entirely apart. The sooner it all falls apart, the easier it may be for Texas and other like minded "Free States" to leave the Union.

Wait till the mass shootings and false flags start up again now that a Democrat is back in office.

Oh well if you believe the kids have families they must! Your off it man.
If you enter a country illegally and your a man, women or child you should in fact be put into cages. If your a parent walking your kid over from Mexico illegally yes you get a cage. How is it so hard to understand that people who break the law go in cages?

100% of cases the kids should be taken, questioned separate from the adults. So you can get some real information and build a case so you can figure out if this really is a family or the kid is being smuggled under duress. You need to interrogate and cross examine and make sure everyone is telling you the same story. It’s basic stuff it’s what they do when your arrested and detained even as a legal citizen not some foreigner literally illegally invading...deserve worse then cage imo.

You make it sound like people are bagging and tagging little Mexican kids at boarder.

The other funny thing is that Biden supporters are making the exact same defense arguments that Trump supporters did when AOC was taking her tear-filled photos of empty parking lots and claiming we had concentration camps in the US.

Do you notice anything? I do. It’s the exact same reality based argument Trump officials and Trump supporters made during the previous four years. Indeed, you actually can’t let unaccompanied children just roam the streets. Yes, ICE attempts to find them sponsors, something that also happened under Trump. There aren’t actually “cages,” but temporary holding areas made up of fencing before they are transferred to dorms. And while none of those facts mattered under Trump, under Biden, the narrative has shifted on a dime.

Look what difference one little letter makes ... (R) to (D). Same day, same policy, different party.
