Just picked up something and I'm tickled to death.
I love collecting old stuff and today was another great find. It's an old Victrola, made in 1906 and It Still Works ! It even came with an original album by Bing Crosby and Orchestra [ 1933 ] with the song "Home On The Range" on one side and "The Last Roundup" on the other side. This was a time when you could only fit one song per side, but it's an original and it came free just to show it actually works. It's the old crank type, so you wind up the arm on the side, drop the needle and yeah, it's a little tinny, but I still love it. No, it's not some high end sound system that costs insane amounts of money, but it brings a smile to my face and that's priceless.

How wonderful!
Enjoy the heck out of it.

I just recently picked up a record player, as I still have all my old records from the 80's LOL

My youngest thinks I am insane, but I love to listen to them!

I wonder why they use Spanish words "17 de Enero". (Under the letter "A" of Victrola).

Exquisite piece of history.

I love antiques and owning a bit of history! I always wonder who might have owned it originally, what they were like, where they might have lived...
Have fun with your new purchase!

And that dog picture is surely the classic "His Master's Voice", which gave its name to the record company now known as HMV.

P.S. Yes it is- I've just managed to enlarge the image and see the lettering.
