Only the strong and resolute who immediately form or join Groups which co-operate shall survive.....everyone else will be a resource to Organized Groups.

A Rural Farm alone dug in or not will be the worst place to survive from but the best place to pick your last stand ala Alamo.

Pioneers built Forts for a reason....wandering Groups who wanted to Pillage and steal.

You hide or you join a Group.

Alone you could hide...with Family you cannot do so easily.

Rural People must have a plan to group together quickly... many will most wont.

Whoever can make the correct hard decisions the fastest will rule the Day and Night.

Alone is not good.....Groups are good.

*5 guns...1,000 rds... 3 bullets in the end.

Probably more than enough to define 'adequate supply on-hand'. Better if you can cache some on a path you know you're gonna travel or at a known destination. Very doubtful you'll get into any kind of firefight that requires ten or fifteen rounds. If you're on your own and require more, what are the odds you're gonna survive?

I would drop with two or three of these four firearms. 1. A Glock 17 with one spare mag (this shouldn't even be on the list). 2. An M4 with one mag in the chamber and 12 in the vest. Some guys would go with 18 mags, but it was always the young ones. 3. An AR-10 (my favorite) one 20rd mag in the chamber 10 more inside a ruck. 4. A .300 WinMag or a .338 Lapua Mag w/100 hand-loads.

Now, I hated carrying a sidearm in addition to a rifle. If the M4 was in my kit I'd more often than not leave the Glock behind. Mostly take it if I was on-watch with the AR-10. The AR-10's heavy enough to set down, and if you're gonna do it, you will do it, so you best plan to keep a sidearm at that decision point (or travel with an AR-15 in its stead ... which is way more horsepower ... but way more gear).

I only took a hundred rounds of long range ammo, because the truth is, it's really unusual to shoot someone out beyond the range of an AR-10 ... and full-size cartridges are heavy as Hell and damned hard to manage. Everyone does it because 'cool points' and hazing. Plus, I noticed if you're firing to range, your rate of fire is slow enough to draw unnecessary attention onto yourself and the team. There is a time and a place for it, and only experience can teach you when.

1 for my dog.

Naahhh ... fix your thinking, Brah.

If you did that to something that loves you without condition, your soul would be indelibly scarred for eternity.

Not sure what you’re expecting.

What are you expecting?

Who you gonna be firing at?

When bullets run out, we switch to our homemade 5"shells and fun time with shaped charges. Rocketz dont just burst in the air, they burst on the ground too.

Water guns filled with muriatic or hydrophloric acids etc.. Its amazing the things a free society can stockpile sitting on retail shelves... And just a bit of know how.

And the traps, oh god bless fire and traps. Nothing like the agonizing cries for mercy over the aroma of barbecue meat and synthetic fibers.

Hey, Tru? As well, people don't seem to have any grip on where to go, what to take, or how to get there...or care in general.

I know, we do. But, it will be madness.

I have an idea of where to go but we'll let God show us the way. Meanwhile, it's all about preparing and learn minimalist survival stuff.

Arrows better than bullets, salt better than gold.

The Biden administration's threats to be carried out.

What are you expecting?

A gun grab.

Who you gonna be firing at?

They'll know.

Groups are good. Don't join a group, form a group.
And learn how to make your own ammo.

Morning Snarl. I just switched to 357 mag revolver daily carry-5 shot. Why?

Always extra mags and semi autos w 12 or more...I finally figured...I'm not looking for any running gun battles.

Self defense, close range 3 shots in 3 secs and someone is going down. It won't be me ...

PS If all is lost, no hope, we're gonna die...I have 1 bullet to shoot the dog 1st, my wife 2nd, and myself last.

That is pretty dire ...but what I meant.😟

Hey...thnx for "wallin'" me too Snarl✌️

In the rig? Of course not...there's not many of us who arent legal carriers w licenses(handguns).

There are legal and moral, insurance, liabilities to consider....but really?

On duty? The p.d. are to protect me. Not me, me.

FYI: 1 in 5 people are carrying concealed. Every. Place. You. Go.

Thnx... ☮️

For crying out loud one can almost picture the raging erections some of you waiting in the wings Rambo's are getting imagining shooting people.

Nothing wrong with a little prep but some of you come across like you are salivating for it.

The books are good recommendations though.

Seriously consider some solar augmentation for your power needs, while unsightly if your terrain permits wind power is also workable, same with hydro if you have flowing water on your property. I lucked out when I picked this place, we're up on a pretty good sized hill so plenty of wind when the weather is right, enough trees cleared for solar on the roofs, and there is a creek at the bottom of the hill, so I am looking at options for all 3 as I've only lived here a few weeks at this point.

Solar will be my first shot as there's plenty of room on top of my guest house to power both fully with good sunlight. Wind will be my next endeavor as it is unsightly but can help to augment the solar for those days the sun isn't shining but the wind is whipping around. Hydro will be last as it's going to take some modification that the county may not care for, also it's the one I have the least experience with aside from the massive hydro dams at power companies.

Feel free to PM if you're interested in some of the resources I have on these. It may not get you off grid fully, but it will vastly improve quality of life when the lights go out.

Now listen here. The good thing about acids, is they can compromise the integrity of armor making a hardened unit a bit softer.

A small fleet of custom diy drones can deliver some nice non lethal smoke, tactical strobes and maybe gas too if you can keep two volatile compounds seperated with a simple deployment method. I have liked piggybacking the molotv method. Just take two glass/ceramic containers with your volatiles, and when thrown and smashed they react together crudely but effectively.

Pretty easy when dropped from a height a drone can fly barely detected when engaged with enemy combatants, especially those of a foreign nature or working with knowldge on their behalf.

Many folks already had these systems in place years ago. Deterrance is supposed to work in every direction after all. Do you even want to know whats underwater?? There are even caches hidden in the channels!!!

We are Florida man, prepared for everything from hurricanes to tsunamis, zombies to ET and 'errythang in between!
The only thing that sucks about spiked pits in florida is storms constantly wash them out. They probably work better in the mountains or for short term camps.
Wait, its not just a movie thing is it?? They seem quite sturdy and effective until a storm hits. I have dropped large hams and watermelons to test them out.

Id rather not invest in dragging out sacks of cement. My only plan originally when exploring the spiked hole traps under cover were along an escape path of sorts in the event a bugout spot being compromised. Holes can be dug manually relatively quickly and cheap. 0$ and twenty minutes to an hour of time per hole. Stakes/spears should simlly be produced in quantity on scheduled timelines for use when needed.

At leadt that is what would have been the case. After actually spending days one year testing this out the vulnerability to even a mild storm on its effectiveness kind of dappered my plans. This is basically a reserve plan now for a short term camp in a bit of a different world then we seem any way near to.

Wonderful plans. Our defensive strategy looks similar, with an Alamo like fallback position loaded for the long haul.

I cam also quickly destroy nearly 100% of cached supplies should I ever be in danger of being overrun. Destroying supplies including critical food and medicine disincentivizes theft by government or other gangs

Storming it would make charging into a MG nest seem rational

I don’t want to go out and shoot a bunch of people. Deer, rabbits, cows, pigs, etc are far more edible and don’t shoot back. Why waste ammo?

Great Collection of books there they pretty much tell everything that is needed to know about survival.
I don't have the whole collection but a few of them.
I have a pretty good library of survival books lots of ammo and water food stashed.
Hope for the best and if you are EX military it helps to a great extent.

An old Hub Cap works as well and you can take someone out with it if you are good at it.
